im unhealthily reviewing my old posts and realizing that my job in the military was/is an incredibly fucked up work environment even just on the IT dustman things and in just a few weeks of working a "real" job (still military adjacent, but as a civilian) people outright lie so much less and actual real documentation that isn't post-it notes right on equipment is so much more available

it didn't come up at work as A Thing but the other day the solution to something was to look up an engineering document of a space. it was just in a cabinet, available, and I was assured that electronic copies exist and are "only" a year or two out of date. I spent several years on the ships struggling to get literally one drawing of one patch panel and only got it because I convinced the contractor working on replacing one that had failed to leave me his copy and print a new one for himself once he was done crimping things.

I've only ever worked for startups and small companies, most of which failed and don't even exist anymore. I have more almost 15 yoe but pretty much every job I had was in a different language and framework, so I've used js, php, python, angular, react, laravel, django, jquery, wordpress, etc. but I don't even have 2 yoe in any one stack. Back then I would get hired pretty much on the spot for just knowing how to do web dev at all, that's how desperate people were for devs.

I never know what's a good answer to the question, or how much detail to go into. Sometimes I even just go blank.

Even going through a list on common ones and jotting down answers before hand, I hardly ever remember my answers in the interview.

I got some schoolwork on there and fullstack project that was designed to simulate a corporate environment working in a team Unfortunately I lost my schoolwork github because I signed up with my university email, and that email has been deactivated some time after graduation. I believe that the uni email was required for some course. I did create a new github a year or two after graduation when I went through odin project and all that, attempting to relearn some stuff, though the lack of discipline won out.
At amazon there's career choice for the workers and I signed up for a web dev bootcamp and I got a shoddy looking ecommerce fullstack site up and running. But now I'm just in a rut with no motivation to do anything else.

Unfortunately, no, and it's something I regret. Basically what happened was that my family owned a small mechanic shop where the only other employee was my uncle. Long story short there was a small fight between mother and uncle during my early uni years and after that uncle just quit, and the team that basically paid the bills was broken, and me being the eldest son now had to help out to keep the family afloat, and that's what happened when I graduated.
I told myself that I would apply to jobs in the meanwhile but I never did (fresh outta school, basically had no idea where to even start, the only thing I knew I had to do was CTCI and leetcodes and that's what I practiced a bit).
