>The British won every major engagement

They literally lost the first two major engagements of the war you fucking retard

>It was a terrorist rebellion

Should've let us enjoy our stamps and tea untaxed fag.

>Only 1/3 of Americans at the time supported American independence, most supported the British

It was III% at the start of the war, attitudes towards the British became increasingly negative as the war went on. Hence why South Carolina went from Loyalist country to rebel hotspot.

>The British Empire ended slavery, whereas the US would go on to maintain slavery and commit genocide

Remind me, from which Empire did the 13 colonies inherit slavery from again?

>The American revolutionaries only โ€œwonโ€ because of French intervention

Overwhelming majority of the combatants who died for the Patriot cause were Americans. The French didn't even really start taking part in substantial numbers until after the Battle of Saratoga.

>The current US federal government is far more tyrannical than the British ever were

Fair point

American police can arrest and jail, even kill you for anything if given a justifiable enough pretext and they would be able to get away with it very easily under a court of law, simply because they are the supposed 'manifestation' of the law despite their existence being rather unconstitutional since the Framers themselves had revolted against that very standing army from the beginning.. except they weren't called 'police' back then but lobstahbacks.

>The British won every major engagement
Saratoga, Lexington and Concord, Siege of Boston, etc. plus that doesn't mean shit if you lose the war, Burgers won lots of battles in Vietnam
>It was a terrorist rebellion
"terrorist" is a meaningless buzzword that basically means "rebel group we don't like"
>Only 1/3 of Americans at the time supported American independence, most supported the British
is that why Britain shut down our assemblies?
>The British Empire ended slavery, whereas the US would go on to maintain slavery and commit genocide
Vermont and Massachusetts ended slavery during the war, and the rest of the north phased it out
Britain took its sweet time in ending slavery, finally abolishing it in 1833, a full 50 years after American independence
>The American revolutionaries only โ€œwonโ€ because of French intervention
This is probably true. Thank you based frogs. Also thank you Spain, Mysore, and the Netherlands.
>The current US federal government is far more tyrannical than the British ever were
although trends in the US are disturbing, bongland remains worse; it's recently become a violation of that country's "terrorism act", carrying up to a 14 year prison sentence, to oppose the ethnic cleansing of Palestine. Contemporary Britain also introduced the world to antisocial behavioral orders (the cops can throw you in prison if they don't like you) and grooming gangs.

Compared to the Federal government and it's vast lists of laws, George III's reign practically looks like full-blown anarchy.

Night watchmen, constables, and the state militias were the direct equivalent of police in the 13 Colonies

>Night watchmen, constables, and the state militias were the direct equivalent of police in the 13 Colonies

They weren't constantly monitoring and rulecucking citizens 24/7 tho, therefore, not really a standing army

I think modern police are moreso legal descendants of lobstahbacks

Don't forget, most of the grievances listed in the Declaration are direct lies, lies by omission, or misleading in some way. The entire American founding myhtos was built on falsehoods.
