idk if you know this but it's christian doctrine that christians ARE jews. please remember that the jews are god's chosen people/israel. no one in christianity is saved without first becoming a jew.
in fact, this doctrine was so strongly pronounced that christians were considered the only true jews. vatican 2 changed this only relatively recently.
