Marx attempted a refutation which was entirely comprised of getting angry at him for hundreds of pages. The German Ideology is one of the worst books I've ever seen.

My impression is that he some sort of combination of Solipsism, Cartesian Doubt, and good old hedonism and things like that.
Imo you can't really refute that, it's just outlook on existence, perhaps more honest and less pretentious than most of the other 19th century stuff.

Even Von Schelling has a greater philosophy.

Hence why everything we know about his actual life comes from one guy (who made it up) and there are no photos of him.

He's only such because his ideas were so ridiculous they weren't worth refuting, talking Hegel and collapsing the metaphysics onto itself over and over again like a folding chair to bash everyone over the head with.

What is there to refute? He was mostly just making observations and pointing out contradictions in what other people had said.
