Caucasian History
I think I've come across the worst history.
Now with the advent of Google translation.
Turns out all of the people in the Northern Caucasus had no written language and lived in tribal units.
But they are proud of their myths.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inal_the_Great
For example there was supposedly an "Inal the Great" that united the Circassians. Problem? No written sources from the time confirm such a figure ever existing.
Then the Ossetians have Os-Bagatar. This is not a name, rather, just someone nicknamed "Brave Ossetian" only mentioned in the Georgian medieval chronicles. The Georgian sources name 3 people Os-Bagatar in the 5th, 9th 13th.
The last one joined who was allied with the Mongols captured a fortress for 14 years, until later they were driven out, when the Mongol position weakened.
But to them this capture of this fortress was really significant. So they made a lot of fan fiction of this one incident.
1. They claim they're all direct descendants of this dude
2. That they're Scythians
3. That they are uber chads descend from all the Os-Bagatar in a direct male line
Only strangely. The reality is the Ossetians suffered greatly from the invasions of Tamarlane and the oppression of the Circassian war chiefs. Most Ossetians nowadays have G2a1 and J2a1 that originate from Georgia.
Basically all this Northern Caucasians hate each other and think they're the center of the universe.
But they're all united in their hate of Georgia. But at the same time, they don't even live in real countries.
I am assuming if Russia collapsed, they'd immediately declare war on eachother on minor territorial disputes.
Then there are the Georgians.
Georgians desperately want to be seen as White Europeans and they always wave their Euro flags for gibs. They pretend their old crumbling churches and history is profound
Then there are the Armenians. They act like you should care about the Armenia of 2000 years ago.
