Wanting to keep the South in the union literally only makes logical sense from a moral and symbolic standpoint because those rednecks are useless economically, in fact statistically speaking most of them are a net drain on the economy, even in the antebellum era the North was superior economically because slavery is not conducive to economic growth since the slaves cannot participate in the economy they contribute to, limiting cash flow, internal revenue, and general economic stimulus.

I don't understand what the big deal is. You're repaying a debt to society. It's not like they're whipping you in the sun like a nigger with no water to drink. Plus most prisons actually "pay" prisoners with credit that they use to buy things in the prison commissary. So they aren't even really "enslaved" in the same sense. Melodramatic fags.
