Just because it's old doesn't mean it's good.
You are seriously arguing that a billion-dollar movie franchise that literally turned Norse gods into superheroes, and household names, complete with epic myths, world-ending threats, and a trickster who is desired by every female of tender age of 14, is less valid than some forgotten folk tale your baba half-remembers?
Marvel upgraded paganism for the modern world. Thor Hammer is a more universally recognized symbol of Norse myth than anything from a dusty slavic museum. Loki's entire character arc is a more engaging parable about chaos and order than any rodnovera text. They took the core archetypes (the thunder god, the trickster, the warrior ethos) and made them resonate with a global audience. The living, breathing, box-office-smashing heritage that actually keeps the conversation going, instead of gatekeeping it in 'living memory' that’s on life support. The sacred texts are mogged by comics, the characters are the new gods.
There will be a new age of pantheons and their respective superheroes, and you are arguing a corner when you are so afraid of new gods? It's like trying to out-worship a church of new converts by talking about how Christianity is 'more original' than Judaism. While we all know 'the Jews are the chosen people' is more original.
The original Norse gods are not being degraded, demeaned, or made meaningless by MCU Loki. They are simply being expanded upon and made spiritually relevant to modern lives. Seethe as much as you want, you're in a losing battle against the zeitgeist.
