Faustian Civilization is superior
> I see, long after A.D. 2000, cities laid out for ten to twenty million inhabitants, spread over enormous areas of countryside, with buildings that will dwarf the biggest of today and notions of traffic and communication that we should regard as fantastic to the point of madness.
> The quiet engineer it is who is the machine's master and destiny. His thought is as possibility what the machine is as actuality. There have been fears, thoroughly materialistic fears, of the exhaustion of the coal-fields. But so long as there are worthy technical path-finders, dangers of this sort have no existence.
Reminder all your discussions and even the food you eat is because the faustian man's works, even your broadcasted replies are the result of faustian soul's search for infinity.

Thinking of 'superior' and 'inferior' when working with Spengler's categories is stupid. It presupposes an order or hierarchy that simply does not exist.
I prefer the multiplicity of life ways pre-Faustian expansion, personally.
And for the record, all of this will eventually fade away too. Dissolve into nothing. I just hope the weterns have enough foresight to have repaired some of their damage before they ossify into their final form.

But, given that you know about Spengler and such. What other Cultures do you think were born at the same time as the Faustian?
I believe Tibet is a candidate. But there should be others.
Or if you do not fancy that discussion, why don't we talk about the American cultures, or Russia, or the book, or anything you want.
