Ernst Röhm as Fürher
Was there any point that Ernst Röhm could have realistically become the Führer of the Nazi Party? What about becoming Führer of all of Germany? Let's suppose that Adolf Hitler became an artist, was killed during the First World War, or just became irrelevant very early on in the NSDAP. Would socio-economic factors of Nazi Germany look much different to that historically of Hitler?

There would be gay sex orgies every single day at the capital.

Yeah, so, besides that. More socialist and less capitalist, I assume, would be how Röhm's model of NSDAP would run.

Would just be Hitler if he was homosexual, uncharismatic, and severely retarded. More severe violence and political repression. A coup would happen before WW2 could ever kick off.

Would Göring, Goebbels, Himmler, and other top Nazis from the late 1920s and on have even entered the picture with Röhm at the helm from since very early on, maybe replacing or overtaking Hitler as early as 1919 or before the Beer Hall Putsch in the early 1920s?

0% chance. He could never have organically taken the helm as Hitler did nor inspire as much loyalty from others. He was an uncompromising brute and radical by even 1930s Nazi standards and if he had taken control by force, would 100% get smoked before long.

Heinrich Himmler and much of the SS hated Ernst Röhm pretty much ever since they found out he was homosexual/bisexual. This photo is from February 1934, maybe one of the last few times that Himmler walked alongside Röhm that closely. Some people, like Paul von Hindenburg, refused to shake Röhm's hand.
