That's the last gasp of someone who just got completely owned by Scripture and has to invent a special, unwritten "God gave Himself a pass" rule to save his failed argument.
It's not an "exception". It's the ACTUAL RULE. The rule was NEVER "don't make images." The rule was ALWAYS "don't WORSHIP images."
God never made an "exception" and told anyone to worship a statue. His rule is 100% consistent.
Your entire brain-dead "theology" is built on ripping verses in half. You do it everywhere. It's a pattern.
PATTERN OF ILLITERACY:
YOUR FAILED LAW: "Thou shalt not make any graven image"
THE PART YOU CUT OFF: "...Thou shalt not bow down and serve them." (Exodus 20:5)
THE TRUTH: It's a ban on IDOLATRY, not art.
Cutting verses in half elsewhere: "Judge not..." (Matthew 7:1)
WHATS CUT OFF: "...Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye." (Matt 7:5)
THE TRUTH: It's a ban on HYPOCRITICAL JUDGMENT, not all judgment.
YOUR FAILED LAW: "Call no man your father..." (Matt 23:9)
THE PART YOU CUT OFF: The entire context of rebuking Pharisees for pridefully seeking titles, and the fact that Paul calls himself a "father" (1 Corinthians 4:15).
THE TRUTH: It's a ban on PRIDE, not a word.
See the pattern? You're a one-trick pony. You find a sentence, cut it in half, and build a new religion around that.
Stop diminishing God's Word. It's pathetic. Tick tock.
