>>7623689 (OP)>>7623690>Am I delusional?I'd say yes. Chances of you becoming a concept artist out of nowhere are extremely low.
If you genuinely want to be in the art credits of a game, join an indie production and make all the art assets.
Alternatively, you can join a big game development team, but you'd almost certainly have to climb the corporate ladder to get to the concept artist position.
Finally, and the least likely option, is become an artist with such a recognisable and beloved art style, that companies reach out to you to do the visual development work. This is unlikely, even if you do manage to become that popular of an artist - just look at what happened with Bungie's Marathon! They'd rather just use your work in a mood board (or outright steal it in that case) rather than pay you to be part of the development.
Anyway, if you really do want to pursue this, start thinking about the steps you need to take to actually make the dream a reality, and stop doing nothing besides drawing pictures, because there's more to do besides just that - the job won't simply fall into your lap.
