A lot of notable characters there, however, since it's part of the pre-reboot era, it also had a lot of bad writing and a very poor cohesive story plot. The ending was quite abrupt with Lava disappearing and no closure for other story lines. I'm not really the one to ask for any specific details, was more into the reboot era where the villain Banana is an actually credible threat to human life and nmust be stopped.

I'm honestly not opposed to the idea that there are certain heights certain people simply will never be able to reach due to some natural ability, but 1. the evidence I've seen posed to support that idea has been shotty at best, and 2. even if we were to assume that idea, the question would be, "Well, then what *exactly* are the limits for the average joe?"

the majority of people who endeavor to get good at art do not get very far, yes, but this is true of virtually all endeavors. I've yet to see any skill or craft which requires particular understanding and technique which doesn't have a very small pool containing the most technical among them.

Don't even get me started on the lower class, whose energy and time is lost to minimum wage, survival, and chronic illness.

Where do those elite artists get those 10k hours to practice? Because they are financially supported.

With the stardew example, only a kid who comes from money will have their parents let him goof on a creative project for years. His mom is also an artist, meaning the dad is loaded to be able to support them all. The creator of spongebob also comes from money, since he got a masters in art and parents don't usually encourage you to puruse a masters, let along a masters in art unless they are at least upper-middle to middle class. The rich get to take risks, they get resources and time to devote to their interests. The middle and below fight for survival. Even in highschool and college art classes, observe the best artists in your class - they come from money. .. tldr this is my manifesto that it's not "lack of willpower" or discipline or born without talent. You were born without money. If you can find a way to support yourself and draw full time I betcha you can be any level of talented you dream of.

A lot of these famous artists have moms as an artist too. I think that plays a role into it.
If the mom's able to focus on her art career, she must come from money or is well supported by her husband, allowing her to be rested and fulfilled. Raising and supporting her children.

Another thing is that people can play up the part of being poor, because they have the social skills to know people won't be their fans or will try to cancel them if they knew they were rich or nepot babies. So ConcernedApe played up that he "had to get a job as an usher and budgeted" and for the longest time people thought Ariana Grande was poor because she was raised by a single mom, until pictures of her holding designer bags as a child came out.

Also consider that the type of person who can be "drawing all the time" had a secure and/or wealthy upbringing. Other people in their 20s in the middle class get shamed or pressured into a "real career" or "hurry up get married and pop out kids." The rich/secure tell their kids they can do whatever they want.

Another rich person / "born into talent" advantage is IQ. Secure upbringing, good nutrition, novel experiences (traveling, learning a second language), good health care can lead to a drastic difference in the development of the brain. If you have 30% more neurons than another guy, ofc you're going to catch patterns and notice colors and value better.

I don't mean this stuff to crab at all. I've been studying and pondering these different factors because many things you can affect. Like having good nutrition, and letting go of limiting beliefs like "you have to be normal you can't be drawing all the time." One of the privileges of the elites is you get to be yourself without shame.
