>Just work on your art projects on the side bro
I'm pulling 60 hour work weeks that leave me absolutely exhausted just to come home to a rundown apartment that I can barely afford. At best, I'm able to squeeze in studies, when it comes to actual comic and animation projects, it isn't happening
I need to start making money with art or I'm going to go insane

Only normies give that type of advice. Truth is, the second you work more than 20 hours a week, you're giving up on art. It happens to every normie, they get that job, get married, have kids, and they NEVER touch art again, not even for fun.

>60 work weeks

Most work weeks are 40 hrs brother. You're volunteering to work that much. The silver lining is if you schedule-maxxed and learned to endure doing art on top of all that is that you'd be pretty much unstoppable once you transitioned to doing art for more time. It's a pipedream of course but there are doctors who work that much and the elite who made it through the fire to get what they want, believe what you want to believe just know that it will come true. That being said you really ought to look into downsizing your life so you can buy back your time if you're serious about this, if not art is a wonderful hobby to have and you can work on your personal projects on the side just know that it will take more time. Welcome to adulthood where you learn there are no solutions just trade-offs.

Normies usually say this because they don't know how much hard work it takes to get anything going, to them you're drawing pictures and the years of study is just "talent" so it shouldn't be that hard.

That's so funny, so many NEETs would just waste that time playing vidya or watching anime instead of making it big.

a week have 168 hours, lets say u actually work 2 hours extra, since u have to get ready and go back home. so that makes 12 hours, wich put you at 72 hours of work for 6 days, lets pretend u also have a healty sleep schedule, thats 56 hours a week. that let you with 42 hours free a week. being generous as fuck, lets say you cook, wash clothes, do dishes wich is 10 hours more in a week

you still have 32 hours and u somehow have "no time"? im 100% convinced that u prob doomscroll in your phone, play videogames with your friends, watch shitty shows or waste that time any way possible but you can only "squeeze a few studies" u have no passion and you should quit art.

> Not everyone has the same free time

Yet everyone has the same 24 hours in a day. If I were you I'd invest in some courses where you get feedback from the teachers, it's the fastest way to get where you want to go but most artists don't do it because of pride and lack of funds. If you're working 60 hr workweeks I hope you at least have money to spend and if you do you may want to have your food delivered so you don't waste time shopping. You can take a staycation to do the course if it requires a lot of time, when you don't have much of it you NEED a plan and a ton of drive.

The main component of 'making it' seems to be coming from some form highly structured/ disciplined practice like the military or the medical field where you learn how to learn and you don't cry about not being in the mood or being too tired to live out your dreams.

Most online artists have shittier discipline even when they do make it. Most can't draw for more than a few months without breaking down

ideally /ic/ should be like those scared straight videos where its a zoo of idiots that make excuses, play games and jack off despite having "no free time" and eventually end up 60 years old not having made a single step towards their dreams and this should scare anyone into working harder but you retards actually embrace being this pathetic

how am i, and what exactly am i projecting? your life situation means nothing to me, do you really want to be an artist or you preffer to whine about it? most of the people that claim they want to make it, will quit art if meant the slightest suffering or lowering their life quality by any means.

Then that's not really making it because you'd have to be consistent to do it as a full time job. Though there are shortcuts (more pivots than shortcuts) like being a youtuber and shilling courses or a product left and right so you don't have to draw.

when you're NEET then doing something productive becomes exponentially harder, since its the biggest thing you do all day. Going from 0 (rotting in bed) to 100 (drawing at your best) takes way more energy than going from 70 (coming home from work) to 100
Anonymous No.7679559

learning to draw is not really the problem for a lot of anons here. You can make something good with just high beg skills. If you're on 4chan, chances are you're neurodivergent and in your own head too much. Drawing for a big project requires that you not second guess yourself and actually hve faith in your art.

not tied to a person's own style, so corporations can use it for everything. The one thing corporations in the west (and probably kora since its just an accelerated version) hate is when their story/game/whatever is associated with one guy who created the art style. That takes power away from the corporation and gives it to the artist. This bean mouth grub hub shit is as free and open as possible so they can put the least amoutn of effort into making it/paying people to do it.

Drawing's pretty much perfect for broke niggas, just get a pencil and a stack of paper and you're good, hell just grab a stick and draw on sand or smear animal shit on a cave like our ancestors.
Cheaper than drawing just learning to sing.
