I've been getting less followers and less impressive numbers in general, but I'm getting more interactions on bsky. Even though I only have a fraction of my Twitter numbers, I've been getting just as many comms from bsky. That is to say that even though its not as big, people there are more engaged and less likely to be bots. Only downside is that you could get banned if you're a loli artist.
As other anons said its also good insurance even if it werent that good right now because Xitter is absolutely guaranteed to get worse the longer Elon is in charge, nearly every change he has brought to this website and to this algorithm have fucked over artists in particular. There's always something retarded on the horizon, for example I know that in just a few weeks they'll upheave the algorithm to run everything through Grok, even if it won't straight up murder the platform it's another change that's guaranteed to make it even shittier for your art to be seen by actual people. tldr its less about using bsky and more about relying LESS on Xitter with the mongoloid in charge deadset on running it into the ground, go on Insta, Tumblr or whatever other option you fancy. It's not a big investment, all you have to do is post there and check it twice a day to like and comment on other ppl posts, literal 10 minutes investment.

He's kind of right. I think the reason that engagement is so much higher on Bsky is that there's so few people there, that when you post, it reaches literally everyone. Whereas on Twitter you'd get drown out by the 1000s of people with better content. That might sound like a good thing, until you remember that most of the people on Bsky are other creators, not potential customers. So the engagement is pointless from a business perspective.

As an example, I put up a commission sheet recently. I have about 1/5 the Bsky following as on twitter, but roughly the same engagement. In a week, I got 10 commissions from Twitter, and 1 from Bsky. It's just not worth it.
