I haven't read up on the russian development I don't know what it is. But we do have a vaccine that prevents some cancers. It is the HPV vaccine. HPV (depending on the strain there are dozens of them) is linked not only to cervical cancer but also several others in both men and women.

Russia existing is a simply a threat to their identities, especially the baltic countries (besides estonia) because most of them are genetically the same as russians. Russia reminds them how irrelevant they are. It's why whenever you meet someone from lativa or lithuania, before you even ask them where they are from they will tell you they are latvian or lithuanian because the idea of being mistaken for a russian haunts them
