I don't really care about the socio political implications frankly.
I am only pissed through the academic standpoint, just teach history correctly.
Also no, arabisation is pretty much in its final stages here, they are fully on board with it, ask a random urbanite moroccan and they'll gladly tell you they are an arab.
But ask them some more and then they'll talk about how their grandpa came from the mountain village and didn't speak darija or something along those lines.
Keep in mind there is a good amount moroccans who have been arabised linguistically for a long long time, pre state efforts, it wouldn't make sense to impose an identity they don't resonate with at this point in time, even though they are cultural similar to non "arab" moroccans, just wouldn't work nor make sense.
Unfortunately it's basically over, only thing one can hope for is the 24%+ of speakers can do their best to preserve the language, otherwise it's on it's way to die.
While a big portion of moroccans are berbers ethnically, they are mostly darija speakers by now, and a lot of them call themselves arabs, so yeah.
