HMD, CCA integration, they seem to be testing a new silver coating speculated to have better performance against infrared, stealthy drop tanks, an IRST system that seems to be podded but may end up not being that since Lockheed is pitching something called IRDS that is apparently an upgrade over its old infrared sensors for the MAW system, and finally new missiles. F-55 is probably someone explaining F/A-XX as similar to a twin engine F-35 and Trump running with it without understanding it. The future of that program probably depends heavily on what Ken Calvert can push through as chair of Defense Appropriations, though that whole committee seems in favor of funding it so Navy might get that in the budget through their wishlist. F-35 is getting TR3, Block IV, an engine upgrade eventually, and a lot of new weapon integration though thatโs taking a long time.
