So many people like to attack non-passing trans women, to distance themselves from us, to be the "good ones" in the eyes of society. It's easy to attack non-passing trans women but there is an incredible privilege in passing, in having the means to, and one can always see class struggle even here. There's a reason why so many pretty trans women are rich and non-passing ones are poor, if they had the means to pass they would, but they can't. Simple-minded people may attack the personality or lifestyle of a poor trans woman without knowing what it's like and I'm tired of pretending we have to hate hons for not passing. Life is intersectional in every sense and every aspect of a person's upbringing bleeds into adulthood but people who had it easy think everyone else is like they are.
