This is a hardcode topic that nobody cares about, but I wanted to talk a bit about Srw Stages. I think some of these are incredibly cool, especially if the shows feature memorable locations (and obviously the show needs to be good and offer something), but they often aren't given the credit they deserve. In case it wasn't clear, I'm talking about when you fight in a memorable location that captures an important moment from the show or the show's lore itself.

No brainer and one of my favorite locations in any SRW. In the old shows there was always monsters attacking the main hero lab and super robots that had to defend it. From SRW 4 to modern SRW it's always iconic and really captures those moments.

Alpha 3, MX, love this kind of shit. It really gives you the feeling of fighting a battle while you're in an end-of-the-world scenario.

Like: Last month of OYW
Amuro and Bright meet Elenora who is in hiding after the Vanadis Incident and joins the White base for a while. Koji participate in OYW because Dr.hell is somehow involved.
00P the first generation of Celestial Being helps the White Base from behind the scenes, but they get to know each other.
Master Asia (same exact appearance as the show), participates as an ally alongside his eight-year-old boy apprentice Domon. A young Guy Shishiou civilian space pilot who accidentally ends up in the White base and then during the battle of Solomon suffers the accident that makes him a cyborg.
etc etc Some things obviously have different timing, but I think SRW can take liberties and change some things if it makes the plot work.
Obviously they need references, they can't invent the appearance of characters (that's why I mentioned Master Asia and a young Domon because we have references for his appearance), but with a little courage and good writing they could make us experience the OYW instead of always relegating it to the Lore of the game.

Original Kaiser has 4 horns. The best depiction I've ever seen is ironically SRW X. No toy has ever done Srw Kaiser correctly. The toys of course depict the OVA version often (almost always) rather than the Banpresto version.

Love me some Mazin talk. Especially when its Mazinkaiser. What a fantastic mech design. Superior to Z and Great in every conceivable way. SKL is okay though.

AP also has fucked economy because Ace bonuses don't apply the usual 1.2x money earned on kills, and while A didn't have that either, it did increase the cash a pilot earned by 10% for every 40 kills, capping at 50% and by NG+ it removed the kill requirement

Mostly its the removal of the Limit stat
Enemy units used to be gimped by that since they only got minimal upgrades if any at all throughout the game, but it was cheap to upgrade on the player side, but without that their full stats kick in on evasion and accuracy

I'm so confused at this decision. Unless devs decided they can't unfuck the writing?

For a lot of games, you were better off staying in Waverider because it had access to all of the relevant moves (Beam Rifle, Hyper Mega Launcher and even WRC in some of them when that got added) while having better mobility and movement. The only reason to ever be in humanoid form was to fish for Sword Cut against funnel suits.
Then we had other games, where Waverider felt like a vestigal mechanic because all you do it with is transform turn 1/2 for movement and never revert ever again.
It definitely feels weird to lose it since Zeta but if they actually make terrain matter for movement and stuff, Zeta getting flier movement and ground unit terrain bonuses, it would be mechanically interesting.

I was looking at the robots featured in X-Ω and noticed that Bismark and Arbegas have already made a debut here. I have to say that a robot that isn't a Samurai for once is refreshing, but isn't Bismarck a bit weak? Thinking about it for a moment its weapons are fists, one pistol, some secondary missiles and the front beam cannon (very like the Dancouga "Danku ho").

Logically, yes, it's at a minimum the plots of Alpha 3, W and Scramble Commander 2. That last one, same MC VA as Cobray aside, also was scrapped pilot data in Moon Dwellers. No foreshadowing of W yet like J had in Dark Prison, however. Things got complicated ever since, while Terada has commented a bunch on it, there is no official confirmation. The recent droves of OG figures and the fact that SRW of all franchises survived Bandai's recent cancelations do indicate positive developments towards that game.

Even W itself got fan-translated in the meantime.

If you only saw the first episode, that's probably the shallow impression you get. Afterwards, oh no, they don't even punch a monster, the most 'fighting' they do is literally booster the Valkyries with their singing and use the shield drones to stop missiles.
