I'm new to the series, I'm not a big fan of /m/echa but I wanted to get into it by watching some anime and playing this series. I was going to start with V on ps4 but I have a few questions:

Does the japanese release of V/X/T has english too or only the Asian version does?
Should I grab pic related or playing vanilla version is good enough? If I'm not mistaken, the premium version has og voice acting and theme songs. I don't care much about the soundtrack but I was concerned if vanilla voice acting would be mediocre and sour my experience

Gundam Seed Freedom, I will 100% love on join since it means Kira gets an upgrade to his already broken mech and possibly another spirit list because Lacus is in the mech at one point. As for GQux, depends on how they do it. I'm hoping for them to use it for Multiverse nonsense so I can have Mazinger Zero Infinitism (or ZERO in general) show up for the plot. That's on every game that could output voices, minus DS games. As long as the voice actors are alive, they are called to play their roles on SRW again, recast otherwise. Mind you, they only 'talk' during battle animations, save-quit skits and some important intermission events, but they never read every single line of dialogue presented in the game. The only game that ever done full-time voiced dialogue was the closely related Another Century Episode R and they attempt it again.

just pirate V and X. both have asia-restricted steam releases in full english and there's plenty of places to grab it online.

I have wondered if there's some kind of rule in place by one butthurt writer or another that you cannot adapt IBO and have Tekkadan survive/Rustal be defeated. I don't hate him that much. I still think SRW allowed worse people to be recruited as allies. He's just a victim of poor characterization and the fact that his goal, even if aimed at strengthening the earth, can escalate wars.

he is hated because he is a creep who interferes in the relationship with Miorine and Suletta and is not even determined enough to fight for his love. I absolutely believe that if he were ruthless and despicable, but also willing to do anything to win Miorine instead of being a passive simp, people would generally have a better opinion of him.

but he is incompetent, passive, a coward who thinks he is Lelouch, but he doesn't even have the courage to openly court Miorone, something she herself has reproached him for (even though fans hate this detail of the show).

Why would Deux even want to join the heroes, the barely an episode screen time worth of presence she has establishes that she has 0 problems with mass murdering innocent people and has basically no attachment to anything other than the Psycho Gundam and the Kira-Kira, at least the other villains we’ve recruited have something to live for beyond just mindless slaughter.

I actually really liked his characterization (in S1 anyways). Effectively (in his own mind) sacrificing love for his ideals, which is what ultimately screwed him over in a regretful way that I think a lot of people can empathize with (future space mega-corp politics aside). It was a neat direction to take one of the main antagonists beyond him just being a generic ntrman, even if he became more of a joke in S2.
