It's a kitbash but most of it doesn't appear that way. Fairly certain they made a new helmet and the chest/shoulders had enough changes where if they are reused it doesn't leap out at you. Reusing the Sorbet undersuit gives it a more unique feel since it's a different undersuit that works with the palette while most movie forms might have a new undersuit but it closely resembles the normal undersuit and it emphasizes parts of the suit that Sorbet normally has covered with its coat.

I really wish people would give that criticism a rest. Zeztz is such a great blend of new design aesthetics that it still feels new compared to the other recent homages. You wouldn't even notice the inspiration as much with a different color scheme.

The suit is really good looking even if it kind of feels like another toku doing a Kamen Rider homage, as always Plex really knows how to make suits look good due to their creativity. But you also have to understand that it being inspired by Ichigo feels derivative since this is the third Hopper Main Rider in Reiwa and in the middle of that we've gotten even more hopper riders, if Zeztz hadn't released so close to Shin and Zero-One it probably wouldn't have been that much of an issue.

Really? I remember most people liking Zero-One's design from the get-go, the biggest common complain I saw at the time was how it felt like the suit didn't fit the suit actor.
A better example I think would Gavv, when it was first revealed not that many people like it since it just looked like a purple Zero-One with Build's belt, with a lot of people complaining about how the snack motif wasn't noticeable and how it was one of the most generic designs for a protagonist that we had gotten. But when the show started people turned around on it because of the play the suit did with its texture and modularity, which is more noticeable in action.

It's not a -total- trainwreck, the show is still really good for what it is until the late 30s, which is when you realize despite the changes, the show isn't going to go anywhere. Even the "new plot" with Kiriya doesn't, which leaves everybody wondering what was the point of that?

Meh. The PV really baited us into thinking something bad would happen to Lakia during the fight only for him to end up completely fine. The drama with Sachika and Lakia would hold more weight if she had been personally hurt by the Granutes at some point in her life, like having one of her loved ones kidnapped or killed by them, and if she hadn't been all buddy-buddy with Dente throughout all their interactions. There was all this hubbub about Lakia finally coming clean to Sachika for several episodes only for her to get over it a few minutes after the reveal. I'll wait to see if Nyelv and/or Shouma have some trick up their sleeve or if their plan is something stupid that will just end up backfiring on them. Lizel didn't fight either even though her more powerful dad is finally joining the fray next week, which could've made this episode more eventful.

Overall the final stretch of the show has been pretty lacking so far, it's kind of whatever imo.
