If you pay attention to the status screen in the demo then you'll notice that the team's starting SP gets squashed to 25% after clearing Stage 4 on Expert. I doubt Y is going to be a very hard game but I'd like it if people were familiar with the way that the team has been handling things for over 15 years.

Gundam basically had no plot left after Alpha 2, so they would be forced to include something to give the UC/Wing casts something to do. The choices left at the time IIRC were G and the SEED. So them requesting SEED is not farfetched.

Hard mode gives stat boosts to enemy units, raise upgrade costs, limits starting sp. Expert raises costs even more, gives also boosts to pilot stats, cuts enemy phase spirits, reduces starting SP even more, AND also only allow units to gain morale individually, no "1 extra morale for everyone when enemy is defeated" rather than going full stat inflation like 30's super expert.
