To the anons that datamined Y, what programs are the best to extract, modify and then repackage the files? Most of the programs I'm using to rip Unity files can't seem to work on Y so I'm wondering if there is a step I'm missing in between

In any SRW you can trap one remaining enemy somewhere on a stage with no time limits, and have a unit fly in circles to resupply them and level up the resupplier as much as you want. Ideally you do it with two resupply units.

You can also do relic missions with 1-3 units to get them to lv65-70, and have your resuppliers supply them every turn while doing stages normally, or while you grab some kills for your shitters in front mission. I got all unity casters ready by chapter 4 in my second run like this.

On Expert, he pretty much never doubles random mobs without shoving Skill Programs onto him even with Pyscoframe on (not that anyone else is using SKL unless you want them to). Starting the Delta debut stage, Nu Gundam's performance really showed how lacking it was because the Lilidrakens kept screwing him over the FF Barrier and he just got relegated to using the Ra Cailum's support attacks to hit from a distance. It really takes until mid-game for the results to finally show when he catches up in levels, and I felt he was still weaker compared to most others. My new Second Attacker became Master Asia because he got stacked with a bunch of exclusive skills to make up for no natural Hyper Mode and Meikyo-Shisui.

In general, 30 had way more new voices than the 3 games before it, while Y is closer to the standard. The T additions and returnees that continued into 30 like Rayearth and Gun x Sword all got new lines for 30, series with mostly old VAs like Victory and L-Gaim at least got new lines for the protagonists, Amuro and Kamille who had been using Z clips throughout VXT finally got new voices again. ALL DLC and pre-order OG characters had new voices aside from Excellen, whose VA was dead.

Really, the only notable omissions in 30 was them being unable to get new lines for Char and the Voltes DLC.

Meanwhile, with Y for old/returning series, only a few characters got entirely new clips. Heck, initially I thought they had gotten Lelouch's VA back, but now I'm second guessing it. They might just be formerly unused lines like with Raideen's Akira because he lacks interactions with tons of enemies other characters with newly recorded voice clips get.

I don't know who the 3rd Press User is atm, but I'd give it to Hayate since he has the Immelman Dance even if Variable Manuever is default 1-3 range. Char's All-Range Attack is just really expensive without Resupplying.

Yeah, I started reading it last week. The whole thing is weird, basically there's a chance Heero might wake up form his cryosleep with parts of his memory missing or having an entire different personality. So they need to feed him data of events to help the revival go smoother. They ended up using 4 different files based on different events and people. One of the files was Treize's entire life story that Duo created using the ZERO System to allow you to experience the memories in real time. It's fucking insane how eveey major thing somehow is tied to Treize in some way. Not only that it even shows events that Treize had no part or knowledge of like Heero's stepfather actually being the creator of the Leo's and all the events leading up to his death.

I don't even know what the fuck the ZERO System even does anymore and I haven't even got to the part where Relena's grandma used it to shoot down a fleet of fighter jets when she was younger

I think it depends if you want an usual protagonist focused on growth or one where he's already at the top and his "growth" is just bonding with others.

Like, the middle game arc is much more dramatic with Forte, having her getting captured and then needing to be rescued, and even so she's told to have failed and to back away from the mission and has to face Cross in a duel to prove her value. Even after taht you've got Forte's father telling her she's useless and to just let Cross take care of things.

Meanwhile, in Cross' story he escapes by himself and then walks back to the A Advent. No dramatic duel or having to prove himself. And obviously no complaining about him being the "wrong" inferior choice from his father.

The main stand out thing is the Virgo IV which is legit one of the most busted grunt suit next to the GN-XIII. The upgrade Planet Defensor system is fucking busted and they each carry cannons on par with the TBR.

Yeah, the main issue with V is that if you chose Chitose then Souji is just hanging around without doing anything until he disappears in the Might Gaine world and then later returns in the OG enemy faction, while Cross is active and hyped up throughout Forte's story, in spite of being mostly in the background.

If anything Y shows how they should have better implemented that split, giving Souji some action moments when he isn't the protagonist (maybe in one of the Yamato's fighters or an OG equivalent if they can't use them) before the late game stuff where he joins Gardim.

You can get it as early as Chapter 5/6 if you do certain side missions. Raideen actually fucks pretty hard in this, especially if you get God Voice early. I gave him the Hyper Generator and just had him spam God Voice on everything. Really handy during the Relic missions too.

I guess Forte really does just come permanently gimped on Cross's route. Tried to messing around to see if maybe getting a certain amount of kills with her on the final Relic stage would unlock or something and nada.
Really seems like an oversight, but I guess if it was a bug or something they would have patched it by now. Feels like there should have been a side mission or something where they have a duel and she unlocks it that way.

The game's got ~90 normal stages plus relic missions and the sim stages, my turn count was like 530.

How would you feel about a mechanic that allows you to steal a certain amount of boss mecha in the course of a game, and let your pilots from their series use them?

I hope they're not taking in all the "get this unit/attack early" secrets as part of any secrets quota, if there is one. To me unlocking something early isn't a secret. At least not compared to a new unit or character that you can legit miss out on if you didn't do the requirements.

Demonbane. It actually got a lot of love in UX. Pretty big plot importance, good interactions with the rest of the cast, really good as a unit and kept getting upgraded throughout the game so it got pretty much all of its attacks from the source material, nice animations, playable Master Therion. Hell, Ruri even kept her pantyshot cut-in which definitely wouldn't fly these days.
By debuting and being stuck on a handheld is still kind of disappointing. Every time a new SRW is announced I keep hoping to see it on the cast list. They even make a direct reference to the sequel in UX so there's still plenty of plot to add if they ever bring it back.

Depends on the show. MJP pretty much goes episode by episode. L-Gaim cuts the beginning and has all the stuff about an Earth invasion that's original, but also tries to cover episodes individually. Same goes to J-Decker and Gridman, although J-Decker has some cut content. GaoGaiGar vs Betterman is missing tons of units, but the actual story is also spread out throughout the entire game.

But, yeah, Geass movie and most of the main plot of Mazinger Infinity are done in 2 stages. On the other hand, Narrative is a movie too, but its plot gets stretched out through almost the entire game.

Then you have them skipping a lot of Victory, but from the point where it picks up if often covers full episodes.

Knights and Magic and the first half of Rayearth are very rushed and barebones, but they stretch the 2nd half of Rayearth by a lot to make it stand out from Rayearth in T, where it was the 2nd half that got rushed.

Cross explains it on his route. They both had potential to be NINJA, Cross just adapted way faster and excelled at the training. Forte was able to complete the training, but it was much harder for her. From my limited understanding of getter stuff, it seems to me like emperor can evolve from any getter machine, at least if it is allowed to evolve to a high enough degree. Because emperor is essentially the endpoint of all the evolution of getter right? The way the game framed it, Saint Getter isn't a really an "early" Emperor. It's the will of Emperor from the future controlling and evolving a Getter from the past. It's a paradox of sorts.

I guess there's also SEED Destiny. People love talking about SRW, aside from SC2, K, and DD, do Shinn better justice than the show ever did even in the games that are post-plot.
