I mostly had Shining/Shining Assault Hopper and Boost Mk. II/Laser Boost in mind. Generally I hate when they take a perfectly decent design and slap shit on top for the second upgrade. Bouncing back and forth from early heisei and later installments is kinda funny in the sense of death counts. Build has a couple named characters die and the vague background tragedy of war (before Evolt jacks the toll through the stratosphere) then Ryuuki is like 2 deaths per episode minimum, special mention to the train cars and ships that got eaten. Zero-One has been robots that just get replaced while Kuuga is literally keeping score. This thought brought to you by Den-O waiting till episode 2 to drop a lady in 12 seconds flat.
