Hey yall. My name's Twital (she/he/fem/boy/uwu) . You might know my from youtube. I'm here to pick up where OP left off no cap.
The process will go in this order: Writing, voice acting, storyboarding, then animation.
It’ll be animated in the original style using the leaked character puppets

The following idea was picked
Idea 8: Trixie’s origin story.

Right now we'll do a short prototype adapting a page out of Neigh Anything.
If we complete that, we'll move on to the Trixie story.

So what we need are rigs and animation, backgrounds, and voices.
I'll start creating the rigs for young Shining Armor and Cadence.
In the meantime, does anyone want to share their best Shining Armor impression? Accepting AI-enhanced voice acting.I'm an animator, so I should be able to handle the animation side. If you want to be a part of the animation squad dm on the YouTube™ with you name, pronouns, and face that way we'll put off the trolls.

Our very own episode would be the most difficult board project ever, and it would require months if not a year of talented anons working together full time.
See how the problems start stacking up? It’s time consuming, hence drama will eventually start piling up as people get bored in the downtime, let alone the occasional shit stirrer that wants to start shit. It’ll take a team of dozens of Anons who know a hundred percent how to animate using the vectors under a very competent leadership that is respected full time to pump out a single episode.

One anon already did it (vidrel), I'm not sure how long it took him but he did two episodes. It's far from perfect and uses simple animation (mainly vectors and character movement to symbolise talking) but it has some funny and cute moments and also features tail docks. kek. I'd be happy if anons made more in that format, to properly animate each episode would be a mammoth task and just isn't feasible imo.

OK, if you're saying that then I assume your animations are so unique and have a very distinctive style and you're so fucking popular that people will recognize your animations if you share one of them here, yeah-yeah.

At this point you have 3 options:
1. Show one of your show-quality animations that you've made, just one animated pony in the frame, with no background, so people can't identify the origin of the animation
2. Animate 5-10 seconds of this Teen Cadence rig just for this thread to prove that you're an animator and can animate these rigs. 3 seconds of animation is also ok.

There are two types of fan projects. The ones motivated by fame, attention, even money. And the other projects, the projects made by someone who really really just wanted to bring their ideas to life, regardless of the reward, if any, being received. The rare passion project.
Everyone's seen the thread about an anon with some grand vision, the "idea guy", that talks about how they'll do something great for the board. And what happens to these threads? They ALWAYS die off, without fail, and rightfully so. The Great Anonymous fails once again to produce anything of value, a person filtered by their own lack of passion, exposed for what they always were by the time the thread 404s: an attention whore looking for (You)s.
Real artists don't care about views. They "just create", regardless of how popular they get. Real artists don't need validation from anonymous posters. Real artists have quite a few creative projects that could easily get a dozen replies on this dead board, projects that only they and maybe a few of their close friends know about. They don't care about shilling their work to the nth degree, because they're far too busy creating.
Many project threads you see on this board, are devoid of passion. Perhaps there are a few outliers, but most of them lack passion. Why is that? If it was a passion project, you wouldn't need to make a whole thread about it. Because the more people talk about what they're going to do, the less likely it is that they're going to do it. Why brag about something you haven't done when you could be doing it instead? The Mare Fair opening animations? Artists didn't make a thread to farm (You)s, they just did it, and showed them at the con. That is passion. Telling everyone you're going to make the greatest thing ever and that you should be showered with replies is the opposite of passion.
That dream project you want to create? Go do it instead of telling everyone that you're going to. Don't come here.

Well I'm glad to see something getting made, even if it's taking place on the community Anti-Christ platform.

I think the big problem with doing it on here, and the problem we ran into last time, is that there's no workflow system. On /ppp/ funny nobody mentioned them as a project that actually succeeded, when they were collecting all the voicelines, they had a system for claiming an episode and then checking it off as completed. So anybody could pinch in, even just a little, and everybody would know what needs to be done.

Well chaps it looks like it's time to come clean. I was never /g4r/ anon nor have I ever contacted Twital. There was no discord, and there was no animation. I made >>42183622 to gauge how anons here would react to a form of delivery (even a minuscule one like this). Although I can't say that I'm disappointed; I can't exactly say that I'm pleased with the outcome. Instead of contributing by replying to the anchor you only sought after drama. Those who were vehemently against discord quickly backpedaled their thought process once something of substance was produced. So much for board integrity. Many scrutinized my post, but had nothing to back their points. Many praised my post but failed to critique it with a fine tooth comb. Still though I don't believe that all hope is lost. I can say without a doubt that >>42184359 is not me. From a glance at his trip code it appears that he's the real one. The crab will most definitely escape the bucket with enough poking and prodding.

I'm certain many of you will be in denial, so I'll leave you with this:

I couldn't find a good image of Twilight sitting, so I just used https://ponerpics.org/images/259485 and color graded it to fit the shot. Obviously I had to make some tweaks. Regarding Shining Armour and Cadance: I used a slightly edited version of https://ponerpics.org/images/1432215 . I'm not very good at editing, so if you zoom in then it should be clear that some lines were hand drawn. I constructed the entire background in about half an hour. I'm quite pleased with results to be honest. I used the file name sc5lowres to imply that other pieces of the animation had already been created. I also saved it as a .jpg to make errors less noticeable. The image attached is a screenshot of the .kra file.

To reiterate: this was all a sham, I only created the background, you've been trolled, hope you enjoyed mother's day.

Welp, looks like I lied - I got everything ready just now. Starting doing the layout stage.
I also had to download and optimize the storyboard video (so it doesn't keep showing identical frames), to avoid delay/lag while playing it in the background. Constantly changing 1080p bitmaps every frame really tanks performance.
