That's a funny irony. I like to think it's one of those weird oposite paralelisms of the "2timeline" exclusive characters. The most interesting thing to me personally it's just how they were conceived and how they can relate to their personal origins. While both were brought by some sort of magical accident and haven't had proper experience living on society so they're both an empty slate with no purpose. Flawless just has this particular fixation on being the best and be recognized due to her Trixie side and her more calculated logical mentality from Twilight. Arinos just got Soarin's middle age depression and Apple Bottom/Split gender dysphoria. While Flawless has her moms to guide her to a more positive path Arinos has only Friendship who's even more traumatized than him and maybe has even less emotions to relate to people. Best and worst case scenario. And I find that, very interesting.

When he got huge, he clearly started trying to please his new (relatively) gigantic MLP fanbase exclusively
If Tamers would have stayed this big with MLP fans, he would have been stuck making only MLP content for the rest of his life
I don't hate his MLP content because I love everything Tamers makes, but I do like some variety from him

If his shit's going to get deleted all the time, then I think he should have his videos mention the existence of his archive in some way. Having a large backlog of material is part of what lets a new potential audience member find whatever appeals to them, and the work of watching hundreds of hours of backlog seals tamers into your brain as a memorable thing, instead of just the creator of one good video you saw years ago.

However, that would mean that characters would have to bring it up like every few episodes, which would be annoying. At least, they would have to mention it whenever his channel gets deleted. I'm imagining something in the style of his pizza and taco bell shilling.

This also might tax the server which the archive is on, so that might be an issue monetarily, or god forbid the day that the single hard drive with all the tamers on it melts for no reason.

I have no clue how gimp works but I'll assume it's like any other drawing software. I can see on what things he could be using it. Gradients mostly, Mspaint can't make those very easily. Things like Applebottom's eyes or Izzy's mane. He could still be using Mspaint for flat colors. And then removing the white with the equivalent to a "magic wand" but on Gimp. I can tell that's the case because there are frames where the white isn't properly cropped. So he ain't working on a transparent layer to draw.

That's mainly the biggest reason why I can't get on the Care Package train. Guy is just a murderer, knows its bad but he does it anyways. He's autistic but not enough to not be aware that what he does is wrong (As shown in the Infection movie when he has to see himself ). At first I found him interesting, since he was one of the few characters who didn't come across as a pervert. I thought it would be interesting to know why he was the way he was. Even Clean Sweep has more of a motivation to be or become a murderer. Killing his dad over cereal was the nail in the coffin for me.

I cant explain it but personally I feel like something being niche gives you more room to breathe and experiment. You can make it your own if you're passionate enough. If someone has the need to see more of their desired niche that'll drive a man to create. I guess that could have been a trigger for him. Sonic Underground was just that good or maybe he saw it at the right time and context. It's not insanity. Artists often look for confort on things they enjoy. Could be anything desu. Some have a particular way to get that creative engine going. And when the need to communicate becomes overbearing it transforms into a necessity for creation.

This is something that I've wondered for a long time. Of all the things considered crude humor I guess what tickles people the most is the child sexual jokes. Back on SU you had those in plenty scenes. Even more explicit and directly called out by the characters. Like with Michael Jackson for example. If I had to remember quotes like "He's a pedophile but he isn't a bad person" then I'll also feel uncomfortable. But then again there's something that people seem to forget or even notice.

Tamers characters and stories have a very chaotic moral compass. Some range from chill to despicable assoles at any given time. Or sometimes Tamers will just make a thing happen for the funnies rather than if it makes sense the character does it or not. There have been plenty times he has depicted pedophiles very harshly or it's implied they're in the wrong by being evil. Same with incest stuff, but this one seems to have a pass because even if it's morally reprehensible it feels more like fanservicelike bait shit and no incest ship has been depicted as good or canon as far as I remember. Maybe comedic but never reaching a serious status.

On SU you'll have adult human characters preying on children and even worst children that directly reciprocate this. Most of this scenes tend to have some comedic undertones and because of the exagerated situation or silly art it's kinda hard to take it seriously. So I have to ask myself is this funny or fucked up? Ultimately I think that depends on the type of person Tamers is (Mostly how he's percieved by people). But because we don't know jack shit about him and he keeps to himself we can't tell this is something he's mostly joking or serious. And we'll be here forever talking about whether it's serious or not, but what we have is what we have. I can get a bunch of clips showing off every single crude rape joke, incest bullshit, child sexualization and what not. People will be outraged and treat it as a serious offense because they will believe it comes from a serious context.

Not all humor resides on the same level. When people have their inside jokes with their friends they can't expect for others to get it. They just don't have the context. I haven't watched Tamers since Twilight Sparkle Fights a Clown. Today I rewatched 2 previous episodes and I am halfway through Clown episode again, and man it's so hard to get through this. The only thing that pisses me off about that episode is that it never happened. It rewinded itself from the timeline just right at the end. Can I just drop all my issues with this character? I've been rewatching a lot of episodes and Arinos might be the most inconsistent character of the series. The episode where he got introduced got rewinded out of existence. So that means the knife didnt pierce Apple Bottoms chest and he couldnt be born at that point. (But maybe the events happened the same way after the rewind anyways. Why doing the rewind at the end then?) Its implied he was inside of the knife that got lost in time during Soarin and Friendship's battle during Infection. So... Was he a crossdressing clown before he got affected by AppleBottom? The first time we see him he didn't even recognize Soarin, but on the movie he's perfectly capable of exposition-dump him and knows way too much about him and what he has to do to solve his problems. Is that an Arinos from the future?

So far this is the order of events I can sort out together.
Friendship makes a Braeburn look-alike puppet during Infection (Not clear if he know Arinos yet? He still mentions him as the clown that beat Twilights ass tho). Said puppet gets pierced by Twilight with a random knife dropped by Friendship during the battle. He transforms into a clown after Twilight called him a clown. In the midst of all the chaos, the knife teleports to the past, to the episode where Apple Bottom and Care Package met. Arinos is trapped inside the knife until Twilight accidentally stabbs Apple Bottom's chest. (Let's say this episode got rewinded in time but at the end Braeburn still goes to Ponyville and all events happen the same way... Okay). Arinos feels existential dread and seeks for Friendship (His maker). At some point they meet and he fills him up with all he needs to know about Soarin??? There's no real explanation why Arinos knows the stuff he knows on Infection so we just have to asume he knows it from Friendship. That or... It's an Arinos from the future? Is the Friendship that convinces Soarin to create a timeline where he didn't met Braeburn a future Friendship?

I don't think he had a very clear role other than existing for the sake of it. Even on his tittlecard "Never meant to exist, it's a thing of little selfworth and it's currently trying to find it's place in this world" Non of these have been properly explored yet. You can assume he has little selfworth perhaps because he tags along with anything Friendship says and has no voice of his own during Outbreak maybe? That seemed like a typical villain-lackey dynamic. It remains to be seen what the future holds for him on his clown aids arc.

He's more like Soarin and if you want to argue about it, he was basically conceived as a Braeburn look-alike puppet. I don't think he's ever spoken to Apple Bottom direclty in all his appearances. Very odd.

Arinos is just a badly written character and it's obvious Tamers just doesn't know what to do with him. At first he was a cartoon villain, then an anti hero, then he tried to set up some strange romance stuff with friendship, then tied them both to Clean Sweep in infection, then wrote them of the story completely in College so he could write about Clean Sweep which is yet another OC. It also doesn't help Arisona that Tamers disconnects Mare & Stallion episodes so heavily because when it comes to the Stallion episodes, Tamers makes a choice between who will be the main "pair" of said episodes which are usually between AB/CP or Soarin/Braeburn while the rest play backup. Arinos is literally trapped in Stallion episodes that exist solely for yaoi fanservice and he doesn't have a partner which practically makes him voice. Flawless doesn't have this problem because mare episodes explore far more than shipping which is why she worked her way into the cast so seamlessly that she even spent one entire episode hanging out with Sweetie and Scoots of all characters. If Tamers really wants Arinos to be a real character he has to pull him away from stallions & drama, because if not he's never going to be seen as anything more than their background extra

Well, I can't say him having terrible development is entirely his fault. I think most inconsistencies come from the time travel jumps as a result of the Infection arc. The other situations were mostly beyond his control and ended very badly, favoring the interests of other characters.

Can't complain.

One thing that struck me as odd was how easily he and Friendship were discarted from Clean Sweep's arc. After being teased at the ending of Outbreak and Soarin&Braeburn's weeding. Like Tamers suddently changed his mind about something and decided to switch antagonist to Prof Kirin. I can't say they could have worked better as antagonists, I don't think so. But still why the sudden change? Or is he cooking up some shit that requires em to fuck off for most of the plot until they're needed?
Flawless also has the popularity card. And considering how much Tamers could have exploited it. I think he has handled her the best in that regard. Only thing I could complain is how her competent self went away after being adopted by Twilight and Trixie. So it feels a little odd that the Flawless that could reunite Mari with Trixie or the one that could swap dimensions to survive a fatal death can't find her fucking house in Trixie gets fired episode.
But because she's popular she gets to have more development and screentime. I fear Tamers might be the type of guy to switch things up when things don't work.

To expand a little on this idea... Friendship seems very out of it lately. Specially in his last two aperances, barely even talking. He has nothing to do or aspire for and seems any effort from him to make himself a friend or understand emotions ends up in failure. Arinos still holds some hope but he still has to deal with his own identity crisis.

I liked this interpretation of Friendship of being this kind of "what if your sex toy became alive". So he not only remembers the day he was shut down by society and Braeburn (Worst day of Soarin's life basically). But also has to deal with all the imagery of Soarin and Braeburn having a messy relationship prior to that. The desire of becoming someone that you're not. In most scenarios Friendship has refused to hurt Braeburn even if that could have help his cause. You can see this in Infection a couple times, and he even gave enough magic to Braeburn so he could take revenge on Big Mac. Oddly enough, Braeburn is also one of the few to survive the "infection" on Outbreak too. Not sure if this was also calculated or not but I'll make total sense he wouldn't want to hurt him there either.

So what I was thinking, these two basically just have each other. Arinos seems to be co-depentent on Friendship because it's the only being he can hang around that understands him. And basically he was created by him. But Friendship might only see his Braeburn puppet lookalike. I'm not sure he's gotten over all his trauma related to it, so he might shut Arinos down or ignore his needs. (It's not entirely clear if Friendship can actually understand basic emotions) While also you have Arinos wanting to please the only being that's closer to him that gives him purpose. This could be giving him even more existential angst that could be reaching a breaking point soon. I kinda wanted to see a little more of this because so far no other character has seen Arinos glitchy face or have commented on it. So I might be pulling this all out of my ass or... it could make sense soon? Either way, they seem deeply broken.

There's a new function that YouTube put out not too long ago called "Hyping". I don't know the exact details but from what I've read, viewers can choose to Hype videos from smaller channels and get it to pop up in the algorithm more often. See pic related
I only see this on the mobile app though, never on desktop or at least I don't know how to view it on desktop. The Dandy video was at around #65 a couple days ago but I guess it got enough attention for viewers to give a higher rank. I don't even know what the number ranking means though but maybe it's similar to the Trending category?

A bit of a correction to the Dandy is the handler (unless that’s what Tamers is going with). Before everything went to shite, the “main” Toons are the only ones with handlers. The handlers were actual human. I have no idea what exactly happened to them (I presumed they died or extracted of their essence or something). The main Toons are: Dandy, Vee, Shelly, Sprout, Astro, Bobette, Gourdy, and one of the Easter Toons. I don’t *think* Dyle had one.
After all the humans went away, except Deliah (the main scientist who is probably still in the facility), the Toons kind of just started to live for themselves. Nobody really like Dandy, so they only interact with him when the see it necessary. Dandy’s only friends are Astro and Pebble.
