Jap fenders are distinguishably better than MIMs but both MIJ and MIM aren’t far enough away in quality from US fenders to justify the price hike. I’m basing this on all the guitars I have made between 2012 and 2022, so 8 and all the fenders I’ve played off the wall in that time frame which is hundreds. Just this month I played some AVII offsets and they had a very poor feel and build quality. Not saying there are US fenders that are better, just that it’s much more of a crapshoot at this point and that I’m perfectly content with searching out the better MIM examples which are pretty easy to find on top of being significantly more affordable. The QC gap has continued to shrink over the last decade between MIM and USA and I don’t see it getting any better

It was fun, but I got sick of dealing with the never ending stream of type A personalities. People too high on their own farts, it was ruining my enjoyment of creating music. literally 99.99999% of videos say to just play scales while singing the same pitch as the note. in my opinion i believe everyone's sound is limited to a couple of dozen licks or rhythms or melodies. so you should definitely be composing what's in your head. also playing those devices in different keys and at different tempos helps with ear training also.
