I took the secondary throttle plate out and it really improved the riding characteristics. I find the throttle a lot more responsive and the engine livelier. It's even easier to rev match because it spins up faster. Before, the engine had a sluggish character compared to my crf300L which I assumed was due to a heavy flywheel but now that odd behavior is completely gone. It does, especially around the mid-rev range. At idle it sounds like its about to shut of because the rpms are in the 800 range and it chugs like a steam locomotive. i've become addicted to the low propeller plane-like sound it does when you short shift it while cruising.
