we are currently running a series based on gran turismo's opening gameplay where the goal is to pick a real car within a real price bracket ($3500, 3000 yuro) and edit an existing assetto corsa mod to fit the irl performance of this real life used car. we have 15 people currently signed up and while it might be a bit of a tight fit if you submit an entry within the next 6 hours or so we can probably fit you in.

It isn't exactly hard to record how aggressive a player is against one or other bot. Record some bumps, how close he gets, how often his trajectory could bump into the bot, but instead the player chooses to slow down, etc.
And form a value of how much the bot is likely to act unhinged or polite.

this, look up a factory alignment spec sheet, you will usually get a screenshot from alldata or something like this

most road cars have adjustable toe and sometimes camber, caster is often physically adjusted by moving the front subframe, but you won't find things like ride height adjustable on a stock car. it's important to take a look at the suspension parts diagram or an actual picture of the suspension too so you can see what parts actually have adjustment.

in fact it's the opposite, attempts to balance inherently unbalanced machines create exploitable metas, such as the Forza PI system, which is only broken by the human element who can take risks and drive in a way that the testing AI simply cannot.
Consistent, brutal realism and complete build freedom is the only way to create true balance. metas don't exist in real life because human racers actively cheat and find loopholes around rules that are otherwise impossible to subvert in the virtual realm.

what the AI or a human should have done in this situation is take advantage of the fact the magnum had to enter the corner with a suboptimal line and brake it maximum capacity in order to overtake the mr2.

traction control prevents the driver from achieving >>28689897 whereby even in situations with extremely low traction, as long as your wheels are spinning you have forward thrust and directional control. when the TCS tries to brake to regain control of the vehicle, it assumes you do not want your forward momentum to continue and will try to stop the car from doing that. in a low traction driving situation like driving on dirt this will just make you spin out by jamming on the brakes and cutting the throttle while the car is already at a weird angle, preventing what little traction you have from becoming thrust that can be used to push you away from the tree or ditch you are sliding toward.
traction control is generally not useful for any kind of fun driving, though many cars like the bruckell bastion and etk k-series have sport mode tcs that does allow you to slide the car and will attempt to use the brakes to control the car's yaw angle instead of making it stop. however, these systems are usually calibrated for paved surfaces and don't work quite as well on dirt.

Suspension collapsing is just AC feature, it happens sometimes. Pitting wont fix it. First race is quali results, second race is reverse start. It's up to the overtaker to make a safe pass and we adhere to 1 defensive move rule. We don't write this shit down and just go by the one rule of "don't be a dick"

in AC you disappear and pop back in with bad connection. We have people racing from US and Australia regularly with no problems. Our server is in Germany.

sometimes, instead of resizing I crop it to the resolution I want, as a digital zoom.

It gets even worse when you see some of the default car setups on mods which are downright retarded.
Anyway Asseto corsa seems to be very much patch work, a lot of the things you'd expect in a game to be by default are added by the fans.
I'm guessing Kunos made some tire simulators and called it a day. While the poor gamers had to slap everything around the 4 tires.
