How am I supposed to make step 41-43 here? It says I need to open the pocket to push that part inside, but no matter how I try opening it, it doesn't resemble the one from the image

The paper will looks 3d for awhile, is like a sink. pay attention to the valley fold on de midle of the gray triangle on step,42, you need to push.
Does anyone have the origami ragdoll cat diagrams or photo diagrams by vistar? Id greatly appreciate it if you did. If you want I can also give you origami from China for it too. Thanks so much
If anyone here wants marine origami, I have it and I will give it to someone with a good offering. List what you got if you want it. I will give it to someone with works of Tu Kaiming, though.
Feel free to post your collections, your works in progress, or your star hordes! You can find lots of inspiration in the old thread (http://boards.4chan.org/po/thread/515222) Remember /PO/ is a slow board so please don't bump the thread. I created the last thread over two years ago. Here's to two more.
squash that point where the black arrow is pointing down until it's flat like an octagon. then look at the origami from the side and follow those tiny mountain and valley folds
It's an open squash fold. Open up the point and shape the paper to look like 91(all the creases are there, you just need to make them mountain folds), Then stretch the paper a little down to flatten it, used the creases in 93. It's a pretty standard move but difficult because of all the layers.
These are a bunch of David Graham models, some are free, some are simply cheap. They sometimes come with alternate roofs, like the thatched cottage also coming with a red tiled roof file. And there's often those boxes as filler, which I appreciate.
I hate these things, but try closing the head on the lateral, then place the spiky flaps inside the head so they dont get stuck. Put glue on the bottom of the top of the head and with a pencil attach the rectangle flaps, if the spiky flags poke trhu corners you can push them in with a needle set the...
As a beginner, any topic you like is good as long as there are good ressources.
Before purchasing books, you'd better look for free diagrams and videos (youtube has a lot of these) to begin with.
For example, https://origami-resource-center.com/star-trek-origami
give links to many diagrams.
Made a origami transformer (brawl). Personaly think its way better than a lot of whats been on the internet. Could only use printer paper so the model is still very limited and simple, tho i suppose thats a strength depending on how you look at it
I would like to announce that I am now beginning my journey into the Papercraft & Origami World. This may be something Huge or something Small in the lives of all. Any book recommendations you might consider mentioning to an Amateur such as myself?
Recently got back into Quake with the release of Quake II remastered, and came across some photos of this model online-I thought I used to have a copy of it, but can't find it-I can only find the similar Ninjatoes version.
Does anyone have a copy of this model they could scan and preserve for the future? It is pretty old; from 1997! I've been searching for it for awhile with no luck.
Some time ago, several users contributed various NOA magazines to a publicly shared folder. This is a reminder that everyone can access and contribute to this folder to keep it up to date and ensure all magazines are accessible to everyone.
Currently, we have most of the magazines, except for the latest issues and newsletters. Please refer to the index file to see the list of currently shared magazines.
Please note that the folder has read-only permissions because many items were accidentally deleted several months ago. If you have any missing magazines to contribute, please upload them to this post, and I will update the shared folder accordingly.

Slowly but surely we are getting there. Still hoping to make it by the end of the year, and with a bunch of time off work coming up, I think I'll be able to get it done. Definitely getting better/faster at folding these, but stringing them up is still the worst part. I usually get ...

I'm going to be honest, finishing this in 2023 is probably not going to happen, but that was never really a real goal for me, it was just a convenient target. They are starting to take shape though, and it's nice to know that I am over the hill so to speak. I still hate stringing them, thou...
I'm joining this thread. I don't exactly have a total number of how much I've done but here's my main stack where I've been dumping my cranes. I need to string them up at a later date.

I became the 5th IP, anon. I hope you had a nice Christmas. It looks like we're the only 2 in this thread...

yes, so we must revive it
make a youtube channel, make a website, make a blog, make an instagram, make whatever, then post your papercrafts
remind people that papercraft exists, make people care again
made paper cup cutout version a few days ago
it's all retractable, I can fold her back in place and hide her away amongst other uncut paper cups
the other 2 behind her are old proto-types i couldn't bring myself to throw away
she keeps vigil over me seated on my speaker besides the cpu
so yeah pap...
Is there a higher quality version of this book? It's called Dinosarios De Papel by Fernando Gilgado Gomez.
Around steps 14 and beyond, it's asking to Hundir something. But then something seems weird on step 19. Either I can't read Spanish or it's asking to do an impossible sink fold.

¡Estupendo!

I have been looking forever for this file. Can someone plz just upload the pdf to Google drive or comment the link where I can find the instructions for this?
Hey I know the overlap between people who like paper modeling stuff and people who like home designs is small, but does anyone else do something similar to this? Design a little home layout in MS paint, print it out, cut it out, and tape/glue it together? It's nice to be able to better visualize home designs than just in my head and it helps me avoid using software. I've made a few of these and just finished this one about ten minutes ago. Seeing everything else here I know it may be a bit sub-par quality, but I'm still happy with how it turned out :)

I made a cardboard model similar to this in 5th or 6th grade of my whole house for a school project. I forget the scale, but the walls were maybe an inch high. So like 1:96 maybe? Took it to my friend's house and WD-40 flamethrowered it in his back yard. It was the '80s; that kind of thing ...
couldnt find any good hk papercrafts on the interwebs, literally made my own (picrel is part of it) and it came out pretty ass. I know there was some official papercraft, but I couldn't find any scans (at all) help?
I had a question but none of the existing threads are really too relevant so I thought making a general help thread from the get-go (beyond what’s in the welcome thread) would be good so even if my question gets answered the thread can be used for other people’s questions
I’m making a papercraft where I want to paint part of it gold for some extra pop, but I want neat and clean lines. I’ve seen a lot of artists use washi tape to do this in their art and I want something similar, but I have inkjet prints and don’t want any of the ink to lift up. Any tape recommendations? Or possibly other techniques? I’ve done some googling but I don’t wanna take my chances with buying a ton of tape just to test it.

Never mind, I figured it out. I think he left out an important part of these steps. The triangle in the middle was the key for what I was doing wrong. I KNEW I had done everything correct up to this point, so it was just about figuring out what I missed.
Ok I don't really know how to read this, it's obvious the paper doesn't have 8 corners but I can't tell when the second piece of paper come in, and what folds are done on what sheet of paper.
Any help explaining how to fold this thing? It's a cute gift for a friend.
See the scissor symbol on top of step 14?
It means you have to cut both points along the middle line, drawn in bold (but not very visible on this low-res image; in blue on pic related). Then, fold both top-half of these points as indicated.
Next, on step 15, fold both bottom-half of the points, and ...

literally this. there’s a guy on the forum for my laser cutter that uses pepakura to make the designs on metal and then he cuts them out and bends/welds them for metal statues
Is there a term for this type of 3D models? I love this one, I'm looking for more.
A lot of (animal) models are unfortunately too flat for my taste. I tried to google "3D animal origami" but I only got a bunch of tessellations/modular origami. Please recommend me some diagram/models to fold.

ahh. yeah, i tried googling different terms and there doesn't seem to be a name for these sort of husk-like models. i'm not sure if this fits what you're after, but i've always been fond of Anibal Voyer's ghost model https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0tLjyoC_7c
Here are some other hollow models. I dunno why my original post got pulled down from here. Anyways I really love this round toad from Riccardo Foschi. Jo Nakashima's fish is great too, the really old video with the scales being woven on top of one another https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMgSagnXytE
Could finally find time to make some pictures to try and help (cf. attached image).
As I haven't bigger papers at hand, for the pictures, I only folded the part where you are stuck: the upper-right of the green fat line in my picture 46.
Step 46 is "just" a spread squash fold - I guess you managed t...
Does anyone know the name of this origami pattern? I saw it in this video, and I want to make one in the same style but with different colors. https://files.catbox.moe/24u8cp.mp4
