>>508953274>What makes you think those apartments aren't care homes?Documentaries on poor people over the years. Also, a friend of mine works with visiting and helping such peoples. Some single mothers do even work full time in some menial public work, but they just cant clean or cook food. One mother he told me about, had fed cold wiener sausages as lunch and dinner to ther kids for months. Problem she had? Spending 10% of her income on tobacco, and the first 10 days after pay, they went and used all money on take away junk food.
How expensive would it be if the muncipality had one worker there everyday for half a day to clean and cook food? Would it not be better for them to live in a block or community with a fellow kitchen? Because living in their own house clearly dosen't work. Because the kids done terrible in school because of the the disasteros diet.
In this example, my friend had to actually come in each day, and help with food and cleaning. Guess what? The 3 kids suddenly was doing great in school!
But its not realistic to have an employee visting every house with dysfunction. They need to be centralized. But, ofc druggies need to be kept away from the non druggie dysfunctionals.
In Norway, we have 170k single mothers. About 24k live in relative poverty here.
700k NOK, as salary for people working with this. Times 24k. Thats almost 17 billion NOK. And, these women and children alreay get free housing, education and social welfare money.
So, why not make them live in communities and not spread out in their own appartments and houses?
