The First Temple, Solomon’s Temple, never existed outside of the Bible and the Second was constructed by Persian Zoroastrian colonial occupiers. There is a lot more to this than just a perfect red heifer yet few mention it. This is from memory as I’m on the road and dont have access to my files.
1. They need ashes used to consecrate previous Temple. Without those ashes they can’t move forward at the moment.
2. Prophetic guidance is essential. Without prophetic guidance they can’t proceed forward. To my knowledge there is no prophet in Israel who communicates with God and reveals instructions and guidance to Jews.
3. Current place is occupied by a mosque so that’s an insurmountable issue. It could be resolved with prophetic guidance for example is god instructed them to build it elsewhere but low chance of that. It needs to be built where the previous temple stood.
There is more to it all obviously but basic thing is that without prophetic guidance they wouldn’t dare to proceed as last time they attempted it fire killed many people. Anyway, I love this topic but we ain’t getting that Temple any time soon
