the jews who left Palestine were just Palestinian emigrants. It's like if I went to Britain and created my own nation there which violently expanded and conquered the native white britons, and I said it was my land because some of my ancestors were there 250 years ago.

Todays Palestinians are the people from Jesus time who mixed with Arab immigrants and adopted Islam or Christianity. Some locals stayed Jewish and had fewer issues living with their gentile majorities than jews in Europe did with theirs

There are a lot of Turkic peoples, e.g. Altai people, Azerbaijanis, Chuvash people, Gagauz people, Kazakhs, Kyrgyz people, Turkmens, Turkish people, Tuvans, Uyghurs, Uzbeks, etc.
Most of them converted to Islam, whereas the Khazars converted to rabbinic Judaism.
