SATOSHI IS ACTIVE
Man just pulled out 10k BTC. He acquired 10,000 $BTC at $0.78 per coin.

And today, he just sent all 10K Bitcoin in just one transaction.

That’s $1.1 BILLION.

Current BTC block chain protection is theoretically vulnerable to quantum computer force hacking. If say, the US or China decided to dedicate their quantom computers to breaking it. To be fair the computer they need to use would have to be at least 100x more powerful than what is public knowledge

Why would you want to cash out though? You would have to pay half of it on taxes. What you would do is take a USD loan on your crypto and live off of that. Repay loan with crypto

Bitcoin became valuable when stablecoins joined the party.

First stablecoins were backed one to one to usd in bank accounts. Then it was usd and derivatives. Finally people with stablecoins just used all the money to buy bitcoin and called their investments derivatives.

If you look at the market value of crypto vs how much actual money people put in every year things become clear fast. just ask any AI to run the numbers

its value is the blockchain
a 100% public, tamper proof ledger
every transaction is recorded with no way to alter the past or hide something

it's a CIA psyop to replace actual currency with it, so nobody can hide anything

but you are right, until governments back it, it is worthless, but this whole thing stinks of CIA and in the future they probably will

everyone is betting on that being the case

of course it probably is just an experiment and when the government "bitcoins" roll out they will not be the actual bitcoin, but their own blockchain, therefore rendering actual bitcoins worthless

or it could be the Jews' attempt to create a global currency and therefore they will adopt the actual bitcoin as it and bitcoins will be worth millions

it's a gamble on what the psyop's actual goal is

That’s what I tell myself. I ALMOST bought BTC during the lulzsec thing and I would have considered myself so fucking smart for selling at $500 right before it β€œcollapsed” back to $90.

To this day it is still not actually used as a currency. What I never accounted for was how retarded normies are and how much money they would dump into this obviously useless fake money. These days when I invest I account for normie stupidity. Morons will throw money at any dumb idea like Tesla, AI, crypto. None of these companies actually do anything and don't make money but it's irrelevant as long as retards keep throwing money at the stocks or crypto.

Whenever I see dormant wallets that become active after 10+ years like this, I think that it must be someone who lost their wallet and later rediscovered it by some miracle. What I find most suspicious about bitcoin is the halving process coinciding with US Presidential Elections. Every 210,000 blocks, or roughly every four years.

The halving process has virtually always lead to bull markets in bitcoin. 2016-2017, 2020 -2021, and now 2024-2025. Then whales take their takes, bitcoin shits the bed and it all starts over again.

Bitcoin bull markets suppress general commodity prices. This creates an ideal economic environment for elections. Bitcoin absorbs inflation through speculation of digital information. Inflation is then flushed down the Bitcoin bear market toilet. Waiting for the next FED inflation turd.

Ugh. It was definitely sub $1 when this happened - 2009 - and all of these desktop and workstation systems were pretty powerful for the time. It was the SW team that got wacked to move things to China - that was all the management rage at the time back then.
Not going to go back and get too worked up about it, but what could have been. Still, I never got there - that guy in the UK that tossed his hard disk with a few thousand on it - he literally had them in his hands. I think he's been trying to get permission to dig up the local trash dump for a decade now. That would really hurt.

Meh. I view someone who's bitcoin-rich the same way I might view someone who owns a theoretically-valuable collectible item. It's only super valuable if you can:
a) find someone willing to pay you for it or someone willing to trade you what you want for it and
b) if you're actually willing to part with it

And while a lot of the /biz/brains are quick to point out that there's an increasing number of businesses that will offer goods or services for bitcoins or options for converting quickly back into cash, which, credit where it's due, yeah there are - most of them will get *super* uncomfortable when you broach the second condition. The moment you talk about actually doing anything that requires cashing in some of that theoretical wealth - paying off all the debts they're complaining about or diversifying their investment or really anything that isn't just hoarding bitcoin and watching the line go up and down - they start getting really anxious and angry.

Nope. No exchange will let you cash out large amounts of actual money. Most banks will also lock your account if any amount over 10k+ USD reaches it (depends on country of bank, can be a smaller amount). If you send multiple smaller amounts in some countries you are committing a crime ("structuring").
Apart from the exchanges just closing down, getting "hacked" , changing their "fee structure" , and endless more reasons where you are 100% powerless as enduser.
This whole crypto stuff is really just a business for brainlets to get fleeced and perma pumped/dumped by whales.
