Maybe you would enjoy African classical music from the Islamic kingdoms of West Africa. Islamic instruments like the kora gave us the banjo and blues pentatonic.
There is a lot of generational trauma from slavery and most of the West Africans forced into slavery were also forced to convert to Christianity. I believe that reverting the black community to Islam will heal that trauma, connect to the roots, and solve a lot of problems.

West Africa has a history of Islamic kings, civilization, empires, libraries, literacy and culture. It was unknown even to European explorers.
To be honest after so many years living among black folks as I white man I have grown to love and care deeply about the black community and this is congruent with my faith in Islam.
I really am tired of being made to think that it is somehow wrong to care about black folks. I care about white people as well, Islam solves a lot of problems for white people regarding addiction, suicide, societal acceptance, birth rates, and secular moral decay.
Here down South, I see the exact same problems affecting white and black people. Drugs and alcohol is a big one, usury is another, both Haram.
