I once saw a brief commercial of a bunch of people on a subway train. The commercial warned that our govt. could no longer be trusted and been taken over from the inside by hostile forces. It was on tv a couple times for a couple of days. Then...pulled from the air and never seen again.

Did anyone else see this? I would have been back in 2003 or 2004. Myself and my girlfriend at the time found it very creepy. We never saw it again.

Why did the perception of what a race even is shift so dramatically in the XXth Century? Beforehand most people saw race as a heritage of common descendance from a single person or a group of person participating in the same ethnohistorical event - like how the Old Testament call all races and tribes by the name of their progenitor.
Nowadays however "race" as contentious as it is, is used exclusively for vague genetic markings no sane man would ever try to ascribe to a genealogical tree - when it's not used purely to describe a single skin color. What the fuck caused that shift? Why is the old vision of race essentially buried six feet under when it's a perfectly valid way to interpret heritage through a ethnohistoric lense?
