Not a slop thread. Following what data is coming forward.

Object 3I/ATLAS is showing some very unusual characteristics. Short video attached with breakdown, no hyperbole or bullshit.

- Interstellar origin (3 already not fitting mathematical models for frequency)
- No comet tail so far.
- Very unusual orbit plane trajectory
- Close pass in 3 planets. 2 very close.
- Unexplained forward glow that seems to contradict solar wind.
- Unusually luminous. Could be explained by being 20km in size. But its light curve falls off rapidly from nucleus unlike comets or large asteroids. Suggests it must be compact object few hundred meters approx.
- If compact as curve suggesting. The luminosity would have to be self luminous! No natural mechanism know otherwise for that in compact nucleus. That’s 10 giggawatts of luminosity or about 4 nuclear plant powerplants in compact area generating light.
- Mars flyby we have a good camera HIRISE orbiting Mars on the MRO. Should get some surface resolution.
- So. Unexpained characteristics by know mechanisms, very unlikely trajectory, seemingly self luminous and compact. Spectral emissions also not matching comets.

Look for any non gravitational changes in velocity especially around Mars pass and Jupiter.

>no tail so far
Might not be an ice comet for once.
That'd be neat.
>very unusual orbital plane trajectory
Because of its interstellar origin. Models are man-made, they're bound to be wrong with literally just 3 datapoints for reference of which this is 1.
>close pass in 3 planets, 2 very close
That isn't strange either.
>unexplained forward glow
The orbital pass that launched it here blew gas in our direction, relatively.
It'll build a tail when it get closer to the sun.
>unusually luminous
Because it's not a normal ice comet.

Fucking useless gay cunt planet this is, honestly.
Every time something new shows up that people haven't seen before, they immediately cry havoc and try to fear rape each other.
If these are aliens they'd do well to rape everyone who thought it's an alien mothership to death, and spare the rest.

What an unreasonable lad you are. None of the points actually addressed. Try one. Given the light curve falls off very rapidly with distance from nucleus. Suggesting it’s compact. Which will refine as it approaches of course. Then how would that type of luminosity be explained? Would need 10 gigga watts if it’s compact. Reflection could not account for that. Assuming it’s compact. Who’s crying havoc. Just looking at the data.

When did I say it must be? We are looking at the possibilities. I don’t believe it’s completely zero. But hardly 100%

Now instead of hurling insults. I’ll address this. Regardless of what it’s made of. Under the assumption it’s compact. We can calculate the possible maximum magnitude of the luminosity based of know values of the suns luminosity and its distance. There is NO material it could be made of under the assumption it’s compact that could generate its current luminosity without having a self luminosity. Aka some energy radiation source. All assuming it’s compact of course which curve measurement suggest it might. But we will know more near October as it comes closer.

Also the front glow is unusual. It it remains as the solar wind picks up and it remains it will be very puzzling.

Interestingly. Because the retrograde approach and the close passes to Jupiter. Theoretically those planets could be use to do reverse gravity assist manoeuvre to actually attain a parking orbit with a reasonable amount of energy use. Theoretically assuming some will or design. But it’s doable with the trajectory.

It’s probably a comet. Do you read or just hear what you want to hear. But there are anomalies that justify an open mind and close observation.

What will you say it has non gravitational velocity changes? Given the trajectory it wouldn’t be hard for highly unexpected change in its future path if that happened.

We'll know in a few months. If it is an alien craft then they are probably here for AI. It'd be too coincidental for them to insert themselves in human affairs at this time otherwise. Nothing else humanity is doing has any real significance to the galaxy or universe as of yet, except AI. If AI is not hype and super intelligence explosion/singularity is in the future, then that is galaxy shaping technology, so they'd have to intervene. They'd know it was coming and our governments would too. Maybe the government anticipated AI going public and the long term implications so they started talking about UAP's openly to prepare the public for the inevitable alien intervention that they also know is coming.

The good news is, the aliens would be unlikely to be interested in our extinction. Subjugation maybe, but not extinction. If they wanted to destroy us they'd hit was relativistic missiles that we'd never have time to see coming until we were already dead. Most likely, they'd orbit the sun and approach Earth with the sun behind it to obscure observation. They don't broadcast their intent and let our governments launch a desperate attack when they can't discern entirely the alien's motives. This won't work and only once they've demonstrated our governments are impotent against them would they broadcast their demands, probably in every human language with perfect grammar. No AI.

The only other valuable/important thing about Earth would be its biopshere, which they could, if you believe some of the latest hype and government accusations, they might already have fully catalogued. Keep in mind Earth's biosphere has been detectable for some 2 billion years. I'm skeptical of all of this, but it isn't stupid. Combine this with that astromer, Beatrice, claiming to have detected orbiting non-human objects in space from before we had satellites, whose appearance correlates with UFO sightings and nuclear tests in the 20th century, and it's plausible. Mind you, I still think it is all probably a psy-op, but some prominent people are torching their reputations over this if so.

Exactly. AI could, if it is as powerful as theorized, re-shape the entire local cluster and beyond. So, if alien life is out there and aware of Earth, this would be the most reasonable time to intervene (which presumes they have no interest in just wiping us out and might even have some level of consideration for us).

https://sites.psu.edu/astrowright/2025/08/06/more-avi-and-3i-atlas/
and the same paper avi uses says:
"It is possible that the ever steepening surface brightness profile in Figure 2 is a result of the progressive destruction of ice grains due to sublimation. If so, we expect that the surface brightness profile should become steeper as the comet warms on approach to the Sun, at least until ice in the coma is completely exhausted."

https://www.arxiv.org/pdf/2508.02934

avi is full of bs, the “self-illumination” idea is speculative and contradicted by the very dataset referenced. Current analyses support a perfectly natural interpretation: 3I/ATLAS is an active interstellar comet with a sun-facing dust fan and faint tail; its optical brightness is dominated by sunlight scattered by coma dust, not by an internal source.

Like you get a bus to the airport. Then it’s 500mph to the next and bus again? Pre existing routes infrastructure?

most likely a comet

however if it was a ship then it is possible that they did a braking burn outside our view and are coasting slowly into the system in order to appear like a comet
>the aliens are disguising their ships as a comet is a retarded take because it is unfalsifiable
yes, but i enjoy speculating
given the trajectory it is physically possible for a fusion drive ship to have left Proxima Centauri b around 70-100 years ago, accelerating to speeds (that aren't that wild) until halfway, followed by a deceleration burn most of the rest of the way with a maneuver to disguise their point of origin and appear "comet like" while setting up the supposes "ideal entry" to put their final deceleration burn on the opposite side of the sun.
all plausible within conservative estimates of theoretical fusion drives

JWST took some pics about a week ago and the team reviewing them scheduled public release 3 months out so then we'll have something more to go on (which will most likely reveal that it is another "interesting" comet like Omoumua, not Rama)

If it was Ramans though that'd be pretty cool.

A plasma 'neon light' is high voltage on a gas. I suspect the 3i ATLAS is using high voltage as propulsion and that is why it's glowing. Simple as. It also suggest a fuck ton of power being used at 10 Giggawatts. Yes I think it's an Alien space craft coming to save earth from Evil. Globers are literally no different than religious zealots. A Christian believes Jesus was the son of God and walked on water bc the Bible and their priests told them it was so.. globers’ entire worldview is constructed in this exact same manner. One of theories is that we are dealing with AI/probes of a civilization that might already be long gone.

another one is that 3I/ATLAS might be them pressing the reset button on us

yet another one is that 3I/ATLAS is a completely different alien civilization to the one we have here already (if not multiple) as the tech would not match up. At least from what we know.

It means they'll fuck up our neighborhood. Or it could be one giant catgirl ambassador looking for a place to crash. This thing, if manufactured by someone intelligent could STILL be glowies in my opinion. I've seen UFOs and found Dr Greers take to be compelling. Glowies could be staging the biggest blue beans of them all and are gonna get everyone to kneel once the Glowmega Cruiser arrives. According to Greer and gang, the glowies have had 60-70 years to build some crazy shit and the tech I've seen means they can wreck planets and build space arks if they felt like it.
I'm actually hopeful that it's just a trippy asteroid kicking off radioactive energy and shrouded by supercooled noble gases...time will tell. Fuck the glowies anyways.

It's just a comet. Now what I'm about to tell you is real. Early next year you're going to start hearing about another 'object' that's coming towards Earth. This 'object' is a true to form technological interstellar craft and it's not a good thing. We've known this is going to happen for a long time. You don’t need to be a Christcuck or religious at all in order to logically derive the existence of a Creator.

I’m not Christian or religious in any way. Scroll to the bottom of my pastebin and read what’s under the section titled:
>RELIGION
https://pastebin.com/jk2hAdmh

Christian’s are no different than globers in their folly - they believe in the empirically unsubstantiated written doctrine of men which is contrary to their actual lived experience. My advice to you is to take back control of your life and stop blindly believing what you’re told to believe by your perceived authority figures. Belief is the enemy of KNOWING.

I am Nobody.
What do I know?
Well I will tell you.

We will know by the END OF SEPTEMBER. If it were a spacecraft, the best time for it to maneuver would be at the closest approach to whatever it is orbiting. This is because of the Oberth effect.. effectively the faster youre going the mpre efficient your burn, and the closer the orbit, the faster it is. Even on a parabolic orbit, this means that you get a speed boost proportionate to how close you get to a world. At its closest distance (periapsis) to Mars in its current course, it would gain only a marginal, almost negligable bonus to its burn. Any time between now and then, a spaceship could burn to adjust that periapsis closer to Mars so that the eventual burn near mars would be far more efficient. If it doesnt adjust its course it was a comet.
If it does.. dont get on the ships.

Need I remind you that the rapture does not actually appear in scripture?

So, it's likely a comet that has a significant amount of rocky material, including heavy metals compared to typical comets where they're made nearly 99% of volatiles concentrated around a small, rocky nucleus. This would explain it's unusual "compactness", plus the volatiles are likely interacting with the metals in the solar wind plus passing close near planets like Jupiter, who have powerful magnetic fields, passing that energy to the large amounts of metallic material which then begin to ermit light while being bombarded with solar wind ions. So, we have volatiles plus metallic light emission.

if another "new world" continent was discovered today, with primitive people living there, do you think our civilization would still repeat the same evils?
I think maybe, but less likely than before. you know there'd be crowds of scientists calling for "no contact", compare that to when Columbus brought back enslaved natives to Spain and what the experts of that time wrote about them.
if the new continent had oil though i don't think anything would stop Russia and the U.S from fighting over who gets to genocide
more advanced = less likely, so maybe very advanced = even less likely?

3body has a good take on it. the answer they come up with is realistic too. MAD through making a loud noise, if aliens can get here, are hostile, and they are quiet, that implies being loud as fuck would be bad for both of us

it's only a comet though. besides, intergalactic ai have already made contact. but our leaders don't want to face up to that, and are making the most out of a difference in time scales to live it up and pass the problem on to the next generation

even if, we wouldn't even know they'd come for us, that would be a major strategical failure on their part. we wouldn't even know, it wouldn't even be like in the movies with lasers and spaceships. it would most likely be either some weird virus that wipes us out without ever having any idea what hit us, they just need to send an egg like probe to infect the whole world. or yeet some massive fucking rock straight at us, turning all earth's surface into molten lava.
minimum energy expenditure for maximum effect, with literally zero exposure/risk.
the odds of some space fairing alien civ somehow being as fucking retarded as us are so low it's basically irrelevant to consider.
your motherfucking brains are all high on hollywood and scifi slop
