The reason governments are loathe enable violence by the public is because it serves as a check on government overreach and may also be used by manipulators to instigate coups and civil wars.
But as we can see today, government security forces were not able to prevent the parasitic takeover of government institutions via non-violent methods and we now need violent revolutions to fix the problem, which the now hostile occupational governments no longer want to enable.
Militias and arms give average americans a lot of hard power when it comes to wielding violence against the state, but there remains a lack of understanding that there are degrees of violence, and that the 2nd amendment isn't enough by itself
There needs to be a lot more thought put into the political and social design of our societies going forward, like the damage advertising does
