Zoomers grew up connected to the internet, the youngest millennials were in their mid to late teens when everyone and their grandpa got connected. Seriously, you were considered a loser if you spent the amount of time online that the average person does now.

because there are more of them in isolated chatrooms like on discord.

when before an Eric Harris getting groomed is one in a million, now there are so many groups and so little oversight that the pedophiles and sadists can find plenty of momentarily depressed, vulnerable etc. kiddos to groom.

They dettach them from all their friends and family, love bomb them, give them everything the need to emotionally and psychologically need to survive and... booyah!!!

they isolate the faggot by pretending to be busy or some shit or fake a quarrel and he gets kicked out and only 1 or 2 remain and they continue to make him rely on them.

This is textbook Cult Grooming type shit and they are using it to create Death and Destruction for fun.

it is a game to them and sadly the weakest in society are the targets for grooming.

This would be solved by executing everybody under 30 and over 10 years old and then creating a law that nobody under 30 can use the internet.

I think it's just that when the internet was new (unjewed) there was common sense, such as not putting all your info out there, it was understood that it was a tool that could be used for good or for evil and so a reasonable amount of caution was warranted and taught.
However, now kikes have had plenty of time to screw everything over, social media is basically a plague on the mind, we were never meant to be this connected. The ideal internet connection is that of the anonymous chat room, basically 4chan, but in the past 10-15 years they've done away with all of that, now it's pushed that you need you on the internet, social media is everything, because that way the jews can know everything because you literally just put it out there for them to see.

People went full retard on the internet because of social media like Facebook where you were essentially A-logging yourself. I don't know if you remember but at one point people were posting every lil tidbit of information about their lives, photos of their houses, dates when they were taking a vacation, which then led to criminals robbing their houses when they left.
Millennials grew up before the normie facebook net and spent their time on game forums, gore sites and places like this, where they saw how fucked up and cruel people really could be, that all changed with modern social media and non nerds taking over the internet
Nerds were already bullied out of society and would never broadcast themselves like the constant highschool culture we have today

I'm a mid-80s millennial and I grew up without the internet. When I was a teen, dial-up was a thing, but the internet was still just an occasional diversion. I don't think it really exploded until the 2010s when having a smartphone became the rule instead of the exception.

Kids that were raised by the internet are too-far gone. Especially when you consider Biden locking them all down during COVID. That's going to fuck up a bunch that were already pretty terminally fucked up.

1) Millennials sort of have a buffer zone on the internet, we had outdoor activities and the iPad wasn't really a thing until 2011. Your average millennial is 36.5 years old, that is 22-23 when the iPad came out and for millennials that was the dumbest shit ever "its like a computer" with the stringy haired kid.

2) Discord is a Gen Z thing and again Millennials were like 30 when that got popular also no millennial is dumb enough to get groomed to become a tranny

3) Here is my take overall: I firmly believe that Twitter getting videos is what ruined America. It was already "Internet Sewer" with text. Now you have literal snuff films being broadcast to every tom, dick and harry. That can't be good at all. People are seeing death and tragedy in 4K every day and its fucking up our minds. Suddenly, our mass death events and assassinations are all way up and our country might have a Civil War. Now you can argue this started a lot time ago but I just think people weren't this twisted without Twitter: Liveleak Edition.

We grew up in the internet and vidya age, we didn't have online gratification and the "possibility" to earn a living with it. New games, new applications and new sites were coming out all the time and forums were fun, interesting and most people were helpful, even the trolls weren't downright malicious.

Zoomers didn't grew up in the internet age, they grew up in the social media age where likes, retweets, viewer counts and upvotes being the most important (backed up by algorithms) and the only way to get them is to either say the most controversial shit or normiest shit ever.

Tbh you were. But at least it was more of an actual choice rather than feeling pressured into being connected all the time, which I can't stand. I've recently had an elementary school classmate reinforce this when she looked visibly upset I didn't have FB or an iPhone. I "get" it but at the same time I felt pity. This. The idea of someone actually having NO friends was unheard of when I was in high school. There's only one kid I can think of who legitimately had no friends and he was a total loser and absolutely miserable to be around. You had to actually be the worst person around to have no friends 15 years ago but it's crazy how often I see zoomers online talking about how they legitimately have zero friends.

Largely blown out of proportion until the broccoli, Columbine had a huge death toll but it may have been the only mass shooting that year, the rest being generic black gang shit in the parking lots around the school or targeted killings inside it. The Early Millennials and Late Millennials are so different that they can hardly be considered the same generation, the influence that technology had on the ones graduating HS in the time frame around 9/11 is vastly different to the broccoli later on.

For impressionable millennials, going on the internet meant turning on the family PC in the computer room and connecting through slow ass dial up connections to an internet that was totally different from what it is like today. You could find porn and gore and political extremism and all that if you wanted, but it wasn't anything like it is today. Older millennials didn't have access to always connected high speed internet until high school or college. The first real smartphones weren't released until they were in their mid 20s.
Zoomers grew up with always on high speed internet, smartphones, and social media. They have lived virtually their entire lives with their faces glued to a screen consooming all kinds of brainrot. Their Gen X slacker parents didn't bother trying to monitor or limit the kinds of things they were looking at on the internet and left little Zoomies to go sit in the privacy of their own rooms, staring at their phones and tablets 24 hours a day getting completely mindfucked.

Because millennials had a good balance of physical social life and boomer educators who learned from silent generation policies. We were forced to interact and shunned if we disobeyed.

Also, there are plenty of mentally degraded millennials on the internet, but they sorta contained themselves until identity politics took over in the late 2010s.

The same reason Muslim nations get destroyed by porn addiction when it's a much more mild problem in the west. I can only make up a term for it: Cultural Immunity.

Millenials grew up tolerating constant massive changes in culture, tech, and daily life. We grew up in a post-9/11 society of fear and war and hatred. It's just something we learned to deal with. Zoomers are traumatized every other fucking day over mean comments on the internet.

We didn’t get internet until age 12 and even then it wasn’t the most intuitive. Brainlets couldnt figure out how to get Winsock TCPIP to work correctly on windows 3.1 so the internet was retard free and awesome. Then it took another few years to get internet in a useable form on mobiles - that’s when the flood gates opened and the internet was lost. Millennials can still remember a time when you disappear from your house on your bicycle for hours and no one could call you, find you, etc without riding around the neighborhood themselves looking for you. Friends would come looking for your and your parents would be like “shiiiet I dunno where that little fucker is, did you try the ravine, bball courts, playground, etc?”

All kids would come home from school, change, then go outside to play until dark then go home. When we were teens we would walk around as a group, go eat, mall, arcade, look at CDs at HMV, etc.

Now there’s literally 18-21 year olds where I work. When they were born there was already iPhone and iPads with touch screens, app stores, and full internet access. They can’t comprehend a time without these devices because they where raised by screens.

Yeah you are right, there was definitely some mental illness causing school shootings. The issue is a lot deeper than people think, its more like "society rot". Bullying was so out of control back then, I grew up then, it was considered normal to just push kids around or talk shit on them constantly. Once the social pecking order gets decided in your school then high chance the kids on the bottom get harrassed and pranked on 24/7. I think people got fed up and it even made an Atheist movement in this country because how can God be real if this is what life is?

Nobody really ever truly got into it, there should be anti-bullying, mental health resources and a culture of peace but nobody cared enough to do that and now this world is the result. Its funny since Gen X probably got it the worst, Millennials at least had SOME helicopter parenting and whatever.

Also I just thought the most performative people about bullying are the Gen X'ers they will always the be worst piping up and saying "hell, kids need bullying more if they end up being trannies"

You notice that the worst victims of abuse often become abusers because that is how they cope with the feelings of abuse, abusing others or normalizing abuse. Some sexual abused kids, become pedos. Kids who got extreme abuse, become serial killers or support bullying in schools "so they become men" or shit like that.

So if you see performative Gen X, take a bit of pity on them because they probably were considering being school shooters themselves.

I had a 17 year old apprentice this season who had an AI app on his phone that scanned his messages to figure out what his texting style was like for the purpose of suggesting entire responses for him. He didn't see an issue with this, until one day he realized that it was having entire conversations with people as him and he was having to scroll back up through his own conversations to catch up on his fucking digital amanuensis's representation of him.

He's a kid who hates his generation's culture in general and left to work on a schooner. If he's an outlier, then in a fucking decade teenage chat communication is going to be illiterates with AIs talking to their peers' AIs then having to use voice to text to find out what they think from the AIs representing them.

Millennials weren't as chronically online as zoomers. Many of us didn't have smart phones until we were teens. Before that, we did this archaic form of social interaction called going outside.
Also, back then the internet was different. This was a time before every square inch of every website and app was scientifically engineered to maximize engagement and revenue. Social media was not nearly as public as it was before twitter; people usually only really interacted with people they knew.

I always knew Video Games weren't better than other shit for me but I look at my little cousin (20-year age difference, he's 10), and he's just constantly flipping through stupid tiktok or YouTube shorts meme compilations. Zero attention span required. I would complete video games back in the day because they were compelling, now I barely play them and just doom-scroll 4chan. A lot of physical health problems too that I'm working on (also back at college to finish my degree)

I go out of my way to introduce him to strategy games. He's actually quite smart. He'll try to show me a video, and I go, "Do you really wanna watch 5 guys build the world's largest snow fort? You aren't even going to remember this video, don't you wanna try out this video game instead, where you'll play it for hours and remember it?" and he'll understand what I'm talking about. He played Dungeon Keeper 2 for 4 hours straight. That boys alright I tell you Hwhat, it's these gosh dang social medias and shorts that are bad. Even his old-ass gen-x Dad, who always gave me and my brother shit for playing too many video games, is noticing how much worse social media is. At least when I was playing video games I wanted to try making them. What are the chances someone watching a short on some Mr. Beast-level shit will want to do construction, learn more about science, or something and not just emulate what they are doing - ie "I wanna be a youtube star too".

Yes and no, because this is exactly how we ended up with the whole THINK OF LE CHILDREN hysteria we're in right now that apparently needs to happen once or twice every generation. People shouldn't have to submit government IDs to Google's parent company just to watch a skateboarding music video or whatever on Youtube because the AI bot decided you were probably 17 years and 11 months old.

If you're buying a phone or PC or tablet or whatever for your 8 year old, there should be just a single thing to click/press that enables "Kid mode" on their end.

It shouldn't be on the government and Youtube or Twitter or any other website/company to penalize and restrict adults just because they think there might be a 15 year old somewhere who's gonna get traumatized by a video of someone slipping on a banana peel or hearing the words "I am dead serious!"

Playing pre-voice acted RPGs for dozens of hours a piece as a kid may have been borderline autismo levels of obsession with a task, but it was a TASK that required concentration, improved reading comprehension, and literally introduced me to broader concepts like an interest in multiple kinds of mythology, the baroque and classical musicians that inspired the soundtracks, the philosophers/literary figures the characters were nods to. Playing Secret of Mana was like ecstasis within a beautiful children's picture book. Playing Baldur's Gate or Morrowwind, I wanted to know EVERYTHING about the world I was immersing myself in, reading all books, talking to all the NPCs. My friends' kids button mash through spoken dialogue and just follow the prompts to the next mission, and that's if they even play RPGs. I watch my coworkers kids play RoBlox and it's like it's DESIGNED to make them retards, they're swinging clubs at literal Skibidi toilet conveyor belts to gets points to go unlock memes.

What we got with video games in the 90s and early 2000s compared to Gen Z and especially Gen Alpha is magnitudes apart. It's like we got to read the Silmarillion, Gen Z got to read newspaper comics, and Gen Alpha gets to have graffiti on toilet paper stalls read aloud to them.

I remember single handedly making Adidas brand tear away pants uncool because I showed up one day with a brand new pair on. With the biggest loser in the school wearing them, all the jocks stopped wearing them from that moment forth. The thing is, I didn't really give a rat's ass that everyone thought I was a loser. I don't see how it would, the only real reason why things are the way they are is exactly because 7 year olds are given phones/tablets with no real child safety features - same with PCs.

If everything was age-restricted on the firmware side, people wouldn't be worried about the Youtube AI bot playing russian roullete with their viewing history, and people in dystopian places like the UK and a lot of the USA wouldn't need jacking off licenses just to look at pornhub.

We also wouldn't be on this whole "a pdf file was unalived after getting caught with ch*ld corn" self-censored coded language. We could all just speak and talk and write like normal adults because all the 10 year olds would be isolated to Youtube Kids - as they should be.

I mean actual paranoid of not trusting anyone and having come to terms with that. That's why we distrust tv, social media, journalism, corporatism, politics, religion, and basically every other human institution.

We didn't have it at home until 2002, but there was one kid down the road who had it in at least 95 where he was downloading Doom mods. Some other kids in my class in the 90s were talking about messaging each other on ICQ. We were taking "internet 101" classes as well at the fully furbished computer labs, where a black nerd showed me Newgrounds for the first time.

Just because it wasn't fully adopted by 100% of everyone doesn't mean it wasn't mainstream. It was mainstream enough to generate a smash hit Hollywood romantic comedy starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan in 98.

When Hollywood capitalizes on a trend, that's because it's already more than mainstream.

9/11 2001, not in 2015.

People were 100% arguing politics on message boards, Bush good Bush bad. WMDs real, WMDs fake.

The only reason why it's so obvious to see now is because the internet has been reduced to basically 4 or 5 sites where everything is a screencap of a repost of stolen content, cross-posted on every other website.

e.g. people on reddit get mad at 4chan screen caps, people on 4chan get mad at twitter screen caps, people on twitter get mad at reddit screen shots, etc.

Happiness and saftey and making sure she is fed is all i worry about these days and i assume i always will from now on. It's a nice type of burden to have though.

As an older millennial, the early internet was treated as a source of info but could also be dangerous. You didn’t post every detail of your life, you didn’t post personal info, it was a lot more anonymous. It’s honestly the opposite of today. Everything wants you to tie yourself to a social media account. Another thing is, the internet has had porn for a long time, but it it just seems like it’s more accessible now.

sure beats being a DINK/wizard and being alone past 40 im guessing. No wonder a bunch commit suicide, nothing to really live for.

If i treat her right and live long enough, i get to die at home with lineage surrounding my bed, not alone in a hospice with a fat Jamaican sheboon beating me. That's the real reward lol

should go to bed, part-time wagie shit in a few hours (Semi retired but need that xmas dosh, you know how it is.)

Anyone who thinks you can trust even the closest of family members is hopelessly naive. No one is ever safe, especially in the company of people. You aren't safe anytime, anywhere. This should be a given, but people are so deluded into believing this world is such a wonderful place filled with bleeding hearts that'll give you the shirt off their back.

The golden rule of the internet used to be to never put personal information online. Now, everyone puts all their information online and everything they say can be traced back to them.

Turns out if you're walking down the street, a lot of the time you can see very clearly directly into peoples' homes by simply glancing to the side all the way from the road. Amusingly, a lot of people keep their windows open and lights on and then sit on the couch jacking off in front of the picture window.

That's kind of hot. Do you ever jerk off while watching them jerk off? Or do you go home and lay in bed in the privacy of your own bedroom and jerk off thinking about that sweaty man in front of his TV jerking off?

I find it very hard to believe, unless the person is sitting right against the window. There's glare, there's blinds, there's at least a yard of difference. That poster is a retard or a bot.

why the fuck would you need a phone before that? I got through all of high school without a phone, only the most pretentious faggots had a phone when I was a kid.

this is what ruined the internet too. It stopped being about ideas and became about personalities. Only retarded normie scum care about who the person posting is rather than their ideas. That's why attention seekers are the lowest form of life to me. From celebrities to influencers to namefags to redditors, all they care about is saying anything to get attention andit drowns out the only real point of communication: sharing ideas.

It became about trend chasing and about becoming an “influencer.” The percentage of younger people, when asked about what they want to be when they grow up, who say “influencer” is nothing short of horrifying. Influencer? What kind of job title is THAT? They think it means movie star but influencer is another word for propagandist. “Influencers” will shill for a buck for Dollar Shave Club or League of Legends. What else will they do?
