They are 2 dollars for one dozen where I live. Given that the total is 42 dollars, the 2 dollars they cost would be significant in my statement that just the meat and eggs in this picture would cost around 42 dollars.

Those chicken breasts would be nearly 8 dollars now, not 2.58. That chicken side that is 2.22 would be about 6 dollars. The ground beef, we can't see the price but we can see that it is 95% extra lean. A pound of that is going to run you at least 10 dollars. Lastly I have no idea what the cheddar turkey thing is, but I'm guessing it'd cost 6-8 dollars these days as well.

nobody is buying that everything in this photo cost 42 dollars in 2025. I grocery shop professionally for instacart, and I know what this shit costs now.

Tuscaloosa, Alabama here, born at DCH, raised on boiled peanuts and bass boats. I’ve got a rebel flag flappin’ off my F-350 with 2 ARs in the back window, and I’ve been rollin’ coal down McFarland since high school. My great-grandpappy was grand wizard of the local Klan chapter; we bleed BBQ sauce and diesel.

But now your Imported Male Pelvic Therapeutic Apparatus Levy slapped $87.54 on the medical-grade prostate massager I ordered. Government’s got no business taxing a man’s personal wellness gear. We didn’t wave the flag, burn the tires, and shout “drain the swamp” just to get fleeced by the Mango Mussolini tariff scheme.

If a patriot can’t import his own comfort device without getting shaken down, what exactly were we fighting for?

It probably is. Same as the 7 limes one I posted. Just throw together some random out of season produce from the other side of the globe, value added meat cuts, and then throw in a couple bags of beans or rice to make it seem like you're a struggling peasant. The food has Polish text, so it's obviously not even in the US. And ya probably not $200 us dollars, not sure the exchange on polish ducats, maybe it is 200 monies. Didn't notice anything besides that in the image.

This cost me $200 because I'm not a fat retard who only eats junk food.
If you buy goyslop and junk food, you're wasting money and killing the country.

yeah but calling it out is important for the lurkers and young people
me screenshotting the date, you talking about the shills/jeets/bots/CP, the other anon who did a reversed image lookup that came back with the SNAP page itself
it helps the uninitiated to start and discern what is real or not and how to start spotting bullshit
calling it out is important if you have the energy, sometimes its too much though

same here. yes, if you buy real food and prepare it yourself like a civilized human the food isn't really expensive at all. people complaining about "grocery" prices are actually bitching that their doordashed korean bbq is unaffordable. i saw some fat idiot with a bushy beard wearing a pokeman shirt at the store yesterday with a cart full of vegetables and some meat and joked to him if grubhub was just too much to bear anymore. he just looked at me like he was in shock and says "yes" and moved on.

pretty much, apart from a few select items which have exploded in price like olive oil, I had to switch to sunflower

I got tricked on olive oil. Out of a few dozen choices at Kroger, I just grabbed a random bottle that was $3.50. Later on I saw a display of Kroger brand for the same size and thought to myself "well, the store brand is probably cheaper" and swapped it out. Later when looking at my receipt I saw it was nearly $8. My own fault really, but still... Fuck Kroger.

yeah olive oil is pricey but it was always one of the more expensive items on my list anyway. i thought all regular good stuff like that was all going to get priced-up so one thing that's funny is i would get my kids a pack of oreos or something for desert that would last the week, give em a few after dinner if they were good that day but those fuckers went through the roof so i started buying bananas instead and thought these kids were going to get pissy about it. spent the same amount of money on bananas and it bought so many i they would spoil so i told them they could have them any time they wanted and didn't have to ask. i love these kids so much...they ended up liking the bananas better than the fuckin cookies and i ended up going back to the store for more halfway through the week. so now i'm i'm spending twice as much as i would have buying cookies but i don't give a shit as long as their stuffing their little faces with bananas LOL
