Texan here. During my morning walk I was passing the cattle yard when I overheard a few of my ranch hands discussing the election with one of the Old Buckaroos, Black Bart. Black Bart was watching the sunrise while sucking on some dip when he turned to face them with a glint in his eye. “Ya know, Oakland Kam ain’t so bad. Jobs ar’ up. ‘Flation goin’ down. I reckon she ain't such a soiled dove after all.”

I expected a snort, maybe even a guffaw. But as I watched their faces I saw smirks of approval. Cowpuncher Johnny Ringo was the first to speak. “Ya know, I wa’ thinkin’ tha same thing boss. Bout time ‘Merica had a Brat in Chief.” Before I knew the ranch hands they were whooping and hollering like Kansas City faggots, so loud Bessie the cook started clanging her pans together to get the boys to settle down. “Settle down y’all. November ain’t fer another few weeks. Now git in ‘ere n’ ‘ave some vittles.

Everybody was laughing, shaking hands, and clapping each other on the back. I swear, even the Angus cattle seemed to nodding their heads. The Rio Grande might be running deep red today, but you can bet your hat it runs blue come November.

I live in Pulaski Tennessee - famous for being the birth place of the Ku Klux Klan. Me and my klan brothers were squarely in the Trump camp last election and were pretty upset when he didn’t win.

But over the past few years we’ve warmed up to Joe. My brothers in the klan have been calling him Nigger Lynchin’ Joe.

Just a few weeks ago I was at a local bar with a couple of klan brothers after a rally when an older fellow wearing a “Biden 2024” shirt walked past. My brother looked at him for a few seconds and then turned to the rest of us and said “Old Nigger Lynchin’ Joe’s been doing this country a lot of good. I haven’t seen an uppity nigger since Floyd and that’s saying something. He’s got my vote.”

We responded with nodding heads and enthusiastic agreement. If old nigger lynchin joe won the klan vote, then trump has no chance.

God this resonates so much. So, my uncle-who's been farming since forever and was all-in on Trump-just told me he's thinking about voting for Kamala Harris. I couldn't believe it. The guy's got a MAGA hat in his truck, for crying out loud! But he said she came to town and actually talked about stuff that matters to them, like fixing their busted internet, getting real healthcare out there, and sticking it to the big corporations screwing over farmers. He goes, "She's the first one who actually seems to get it. Not just running her mouth." And I'm sitting there like, "Holy crap, if you're thinking of flipping, Trump's so screwed." I mean, if someone like my uncle—who's been hardcore Republican his whole life—is even considering jumping ship, Trump's gotta be losing sleep. The dude's base is starting to crack, and if more folks like my uncle switch sides, Trump's not just in trouble—he's totally fucked. 2024's gonna be a shitshow, no doubt. Trump thought he had rural America locked down, but if my uncle's ready to ditch him, he's in for a rude awakening.

Eastern Kentucky here. I bleed red, white, and blue. Been shootin’ cans off fenceposts since I could walk, married a girl named Liberty, and I keep a copy of the Constitution in my glovebox.

So you can imagine the shame when I ordered a limited edition “Chainsaw Man” anime body pillow as a gag gift and got slapped with $117 in miscellaneous Japan tariffs thanks to a trade memo signed by the Trump administration in 2019.

Had to pay with Apple Pay under my cousin’s name to avoid bein’ judged by my bank.

Came home, stared at that pillow lyin’ on my couch like it was judge and jury.

“You did this to yourself,” it whispered in Japanese.

Former Trump supporter from coal country here. Been bustin’ knuckles and drinkin’ bottom-shelf bourbon since Bush Sr. Called Biden “Sleepy Joe".

Last week I saw this hand-blown crystal dragon bong from Guangzhou. Had LED eyes and a USB charger. I don’t even smoke anymore—I just needed to feel again.

$112 to order.
$138 in “ceremonial glassware counterbalance fees.” Said it was part of a 2020 “China deterrent initiative” that I once called “genius” on a call-in radio show.

Now I sit on the porch starin’ at the damn thing like it’s judgment made solid. Ate one egg for breakfast. One. Like it’s the Great Depression, but with shame accessories.
