I have been playing Dead by Daylight recently. I only play every couple of years or so I never feel experienced and it's fun. I think my MMR is still the same as the first time I played so I always seem to get matched with people that look a lot better than me.

whats your favourite thing to do in mc? i like building. i kinda get hyperfocused on building something and it manages to keep my head off bad things.
>monhun
ohh i love monster hunter!! its still one of my favourite franchises, unfortunately for me everything started being shit after iceborne.
what was your first monhun game? have you played wilds?
>stardew
i played that aswell whenever i felt sad. i wish i could have a real farm with some chickens. sigh.

Disgaea is a tatical RPG where you play as a demon trying to conquer the Netherworld, while Akiba's Trip is a hack n' slash game involving semi-nude people. Japanese games are sekai ichiban

Yeah that's how I try to play it. People who take it super serious can be weird about it but I like it. I mostly play it for the sadism. The gore. The screams the blood. Skimpy dressed female survivoids running around just begging to be killed. Chasing them, downing them, picking them up and carrying them and hearing their little groans of pain before they shriek in pure agony as they are thrown on a meat hook.

honestly i only played rise and sunbreak because they added gore magala in it. hes my favourite monster! i did like the movement improvements they added, but, everything else was pretty mediocre. had to heavily mod it to make it enjoyable
>i started with tri on the wii! wbu
technically, my first game was tri, but not all of it, just the demo. at the time i had a 3ds and no money to buy the full game. then i convinced my mom to buy me mh4u, and i think i played that for around 300 hours. i love that game dearly. and its the best one no questions asked!

good choice!! i can see why youd think sunbreak is mediocre, perhaps i just liked it alot after the slog i found base rise to be

hm hm they are. i remember as a kid i used to build a lot of (very simple) castles and towers, and then spawn a load of enemies outside the walls to pretend like they were sieging it. i even made traps and everything... good memories.
>i miss being able to build anything that took that much effort
yeah... i guess a way to get over it is try to divide the big builds into smaller ones. like if you're gonna build the castle, first you just make the walls, then another day you make the fort, and so on.
>i like the pickle the most

>id always try to do "mob battles"
oh god i rememeber those. i also remember trying to install mods so that i could do them but i was too dumb to do it lol. i always wanted to play minecraft with the spacecraft mod, but once i actually got a pc and the knowledge on how to install such mods, i was already burnt out and never did it... and besides it would probably be boring to do it alone anyway.
>but then you get burnt out after a few smaller builds
hm, i guess thats true. perhaps variety in the builds could help. i always build everything in survival mode, so i get burned out easily whenever i run out of materials to build and have to get more. yeah i could go in creative, but i dunno, it doesnt feel the same i guess
>i never saw him do it anyways
there's a video on yt explaining that in reality its all a conspiracy theory and the community is just constantly gaslighting each other. (im part of the problem, i gaslight new players too)
>singleplayer mc to this day gives me awful loneliness and depressed feelings
yeah. honestly any singleplayer game kinda does that to me. at this point, games have become more a tool to gain social interactions rather than something i enjoy playing.

>do you just like chatting or doing stuff with others?
yeah, most of my enjoyment comes from interacting with my friends. its kinda like when you go to a bar with friends, but instead of going to the bar we're playing games. playing games by myself feels like going to the bar just to drink alone.
>anything surreal or about dreams
then, if you havent watched it already, i highly recommend heavenly delusion. prolly one of the best animes that came out in the recent years imo.
>probably alot of peoples first "deep" anime
hm hm, nostalgia and things like that play a huge role when it comes to enjoyment of things. just like you prefer tri over every other monhun game, cause it was your first! well also because its a good game yes. but if you played 4u first and then tri, i think you'd prefer 4u. >wonder what kid me would think if he knew i'd end up this way.
same
>yeah, most of my enjoyment comes from interacting with my friends. its kinda like when you go to a bar with friends, but instead of going to the bar we're playing games.
the bar analogy is good, definitely feels that way, playing SP games
>then, if you havent watched it already, i highly recommend heavenly delusion. prolly one of the best animes that came out in the recent years imo.
ill give it a watch after i finish evangelion!! thx for the recommend!
>but if you played 4u first and then tri, i think you'd prefer 4u. (not shilling my favourite game i swear)
mhm, most definitely. weird to think people one day will be nostalgic for wilds or rise like we are for our first games lol

oh thats cute. what kind of characters were they? i used to make up lore for the ones i drew

hehe yeah, it was fun. i had a friend that would make them with me sometimes. sigh, i wish i kept drawing, even if i was never gonna be good at it
>playing SP games
honestly its also probably because of my adhd that i cant enjoy them anymore. even if i like them, i just lose interest and cant bring myself to play them. i think if i played them with someone watching me i'd be able to though.
>thx for the recommend!
you're welcome! let me know what you think. well uh, assuming we talk again eventually

the day i hear someone say "man, i miss fortnite" its going to be the day that i will start feeling like an 80 year old.

drawing with others is always fun!! sounds like good memories. and you could always get back into it some day!!!

do you have the primarily inattentive type? im also adhd, never thought that maybe it was why ive lost so much interest

No, I'm just not feeling well. It's been a tiring year. How are you doing? Sorry haven't read through the whole thread cuz headache.
>kinda wanna give it a try myself
Ayyy nice. I'm very curious about the warhammer universe because it seems like there's so much lore. I'm not really into the strategy games though, not when the universe seems to make for way better action games.

Pretty sure I have the disc images for the games. been meaning to try out some of the classic PS1 platformers. Never had any sony consoles growing up so those passed me by completely. Start with the first one or would you recommend one over the other?

yeah! there's loads of things i'd like to do with my friends but its hard when they're all so far away. i really wanna go to a karaoke bar one day!
>you could always get back into it
i dunno... im really bad at drawing. and i dont think i can get better. my hands are kinda dumb. its hard to explain, but i have a lot of trouble being precise with them.
>the primarily inattentive type?
yes. i struggle a lot with keeping focus on things, or, i hyperfocus on something for a week and then completely lose interest. if u're also like me then its definetly one of the reasons why u cant enjoy games much
>im here basically every day
hehe, same. i hope we'll meet again eventually then!
>i think ill prob cry
this future is not so far anon... i kinda feel bad for newer generations honestly. like imagine growing up playing stuff like fortnite and roblox. ...im already becoming a grumpy old man complaining about the kids. oh god... im not even in my mid 20s yet and i feel so old...

oh dw about it. im doing pretty fine overall i think. which is rare, these days. i hope u can relax a bit this weekend and not think about the tiring things.

honestly, i only recently got into it by playing darktide. it is a really fascinating world, although, i dont think ill be following the lore too closely since 13 hours videos on yt about it kinda scare me

the first one is THE best. there's also a remastered version of the first 3 games on steam for like 5 bucks rn, you might wanna get that.

I am not sure lol. I have an interview on Tuesday. Not very important but I don't want to not prepare either. Yeah, you do sound pretty chippy today! Anything special happened?
>honestly, i only recently got into it by playing darktide.
I was thinking about darktide but you play as a marine in boltgun, so I guess that's where I"ll start since space marines are the symbol of the franchise. I think I might watch some of these videos. I'm particularly fascinated by Chaos. Too bad there can't be many games where you can play as them since they're messed up.

I'll have a look, thanks

i guess i did. i dont feel that way anymore though. i wish i could stay happy or at least fine for mroe than a day. fucking hate this.
>Anything special happened?
yeah, it did. it was nice and it made me happy. now another thing happened and it did the opposite
>I guess that's where I"ll start since space marines are the symbol of the franchise
indeed, darktide is fun though. but it gets really repetitive and has paywalls for the good cosmetics im warning you. gameplay itself is really fun
>I think I might watch some of these videos
i watched one about hive cities (its where darktide's story is located) and they're interesting.

My way of being happy is just my playing a sport I like and buying stuff for myself. I ought to be more careful with my money. I'm still alright but shouldn't spend too much.
>gameplay itself is really fun
Is it at all similar to deep rock galactic?

i wish that worked for me. i dont get any satisfaction from buying games and items, or if i do its incredibly fleeting and once its gone i just feel regret.

the only similarity is the horde system and some mechanics like the shield. other than that its completely different. i like DRG too though its fun.

Why not? I tend to buy stuff that I expect to reuse for a long while and I do a lot of research for it. They do improve my quality of life.

I'll need to look at that, but even today I haven't had the energy to even play boltgun.

u have the power and resources to manifest some nuggies, so i wish u be able to enjoy some nice chicken nuggies in the near future, if u have the chance
whats ur fav dipping sauce for em? i like ranch or ceaser
>MGS5
is that the one with the open world stuff?
yeh, i like the story, i relate to the character and concept a bit, i wanna play the other stories and see what else i can relate about other than the wacky tacky conspiracy stuff, wouldn't be surprised if they used hideo kojima for some narrative like "yeah we can pull this psy op off" peace be upon him, and i hope i can play death stranding soon, it honestly seems like my type of game
