You spend a lot of time with coworkers. If you have a stable job it could be many, many years. It behooves you to turn these people into allies that you can rely on.

Look, I don't like socializing either. I make excuses to avoid it whenever I can. I don't have anything in common with my coworkers due to a massive generational gap and them in general being typical normalfags. I have like 3 things I talk with them about.

But I still make an effort to be nice and to show up to two holiday parties a year. I skip most of the other functions after work, but I always attend the holiday parties. 4th of July, and Christmas. I do the bare minimum to be a real person to these people and not just a cardboard cut out they see at work.

I used to be stupid and think that relationships were unnecessary or for weak people but now I realize I was very wrong. Relationships are important. You need to cultivate as many as you can manage. And you do have to manage them. Friends and family can pull you out of trouble if you have sufficiently strong bonds. Making relationships is giving yourself a safetynet. Maybe you've never failed or needed help. You're lucky. I have' failed, I've needed help. I didn't realize how lucky I was that I hadn't alienated every person in my life yet, and I've tried to repair the damage I've done to my safety net since.

A true story about a normie work incident that redpilled me:

I'm a NEET now but years ago my pawg crush at work (picrel is her) and a bunch of other guys were all gathered around at lunch break talking about the walking dead and she was saying stuff like omg I can't believe so and so died, they were talking about who do you think will die next, etc... then they suddenly looked at me and were saying heh he doesn't even know what we're talking about. Anyway I quit that job and she wouldn't add me to her Facebook or reply to my texts past the first few, later she started a gofund me for her dads cancer treatment medical bills, he was in really bad shape and I gave her $1000 with the stipulation that she had to add me on Facebook. So she added me to her fb and what do you know she's a fucking coalburner. Like hardcore. As I scrolled through pic after pic of her with various Tyrones I became utterly disgusted with myself and swore never to simp again.
