That's part of why I never tell anyone what I'm doing in my spare time, nor do I ever request/accept 'help' on the work floor. People wanted a society of 'rugged individuals' who rely on no one, then bitch about it when they get that very society. Bootstraps and ultra-independence. Why do normalfags seem to think they are owed convosation? Anytime they meet a quiet guy they assume he must be a potential school shooter or something

No matter how hard I try, how outgoing or interested in other people I try to be, I somehow always manage to end up as "that weird quiet guy" wherever I am. It was like this during school growing up and it's like it now in my work life. It's like people will only engage with me out of politeness then completely ignore me if there is literally anyone else they could be talking to.
