Modern scientists are evil. According to them, the ancient Greek (Democritus - father of the atom) who philosophized the idea that 'things got smaller and smaller' should have just "shut up", because he couldn't prove shit.

Yes. There are people out there who see the beauty and mystery and wonder (and thus magic) within nature, and there are those who just cannot. They struggle to. They get angry. Very angry.

If that actually happened, it would be a case of a big ass alien just deciding to be nice to you, an ant, for some unknown reason, or purpose, maybe even just to entertain some silly belief system for the lulz. I don’t know. But that’s bedsides the point. Any sort of miracle of such degree will require a greater intelligence to put it into place. Why would ants expect jelly beans any other way? Coincidence? The jelly beans are still made in a factory.

Atheists don’t like to acknowledge that a sufficiently godlike alien being can totally be worshiped as a god or something.

Theists don’t like acknowledging that their god is just a big alien and believing in gods is a variant of believing in aliens.

What "God" is really all about:

>And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

>And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

What life is really all about:

Aho Mitakuye Oyasin... All my relations. I honor you in this circle of life with me today. I am grateful for this opportunity to acknowledge you in this prayer...

To the Stars, for the ultimate gift of life, I thank you.

To the mineral nation that has built and maintained my bones and all foundations of life experience, I thank you.

To the plant nation that sustains my organs and body and gives me healing herbs for sickness, I thank you.

To the animal nation that feeds me from your own flesh and offers your loyal companionship in this walk of life, I thank you.

To the human nation that shares my path as a soul upon the sacred wheel of Earthly life, I thank you.

To the Story nation that guides me invisibly through the ups and downs of life and for carrying the torch of light through the Ages. I thank you.

To the Four Winds of Change and Growth, I thank you.

You are all my relations, my relatives, without whom I would not live. We are in the circle of life together, co-existing, co-dependent, co-creating our destiny. One, not more important than the other. One nation evolving from the other and yet each dependent upon the one above and the one below. All of us a part of the Great Mystery.

Thank you for this Life.

Not who you replied to, but I'm an atheist.
The history of the universe demonstrates a universal trend towards "increasing complexity," meaning it continually expands the diversity of its possible interactions and thus creative freedom.
The universe grasps beyond its immediate conditions towards novel possibilities.
Life grasps beyond its immediate conditions towards the possibility of sustenance.
Consciousness grasps beyond its immediate conditions of knowledge and experience towards The Unknown.
Creativity is intrinsic to existence by necessity. Otherwise there'd be no time, and thus no existence. Time isn't a "dimension" everything "travels in" but the creative advance of the universe.

I think magic is a really interesting concept or word because its very definition is something done without explanation. It's really more of a psychological trick than a real word, because what you're actually doing is saying you don't understand something, yet at the same time you're saying you explained it. It's the same way people sometimes use the word "God", or even "science".

I can't think of another word with that level of fallacious thinking built into the core of its meaning.

Science models reproducible patterns. The models can predict how things move in relation to mass based on repeated observation, but they actually have no idea why do things move in relation to mass in such way, i.e. how "gravity" works, and ultimately what it can or cannot do.
This applies to everything in science. It's ultimately a discipline of divination.

Anonymous No.16745230 >>16746414

This doesn't address the original point at all, which is about the reflexive property of equality. Bringing up 2+2=5 is a non sequitur. it’s not logically connected to the statement 1 = 1. Mathematical truths are derived from formal systems of logic and are not a matter of belief. The reflexive property is a foundational axiom in math. It's universally accepted because it's necessary for coherent reasoning. Introducing irrelevant slogans like 2+2=5 or ambiguous notions of “belief” doesn’t refute this principle. You're just derailing into pseudo-intellectual vagueness. If you want to challenge the axiom, you’d have to reject standard logic systems altogether, and if you do that then you’re no longer engaging in reasoned argument, just incoherent wordplay.

How is science not bloody magic?

All scientists are sorcerers to some shade. That's why they seek theories of everything to unify different layers of reality. It's as if scientists believe as-above-so-below and as-within-so-without. Scientists believe in summoning entities that transcend the body like AI and wish to become transhuman themselves. Don't forget scientists' quest for immortality either…and think about their obsession with seeking patterns, their inclination to turn patterns into geometrical representations, and their wish for theory to be beautiful! Scientists might as well wear robes and dissect bodies on altars- no, wait, they're already doing that… Christ, they might as well sacrifice materials in rituals to gain a material back with transcended properties. Oh wait…

good point. but that only makes me believe all magic is is a poor understanding of science that's been repeated over time

Nah, magic is thr chemistry in the brain leading up to “wow magic”. Enchantment. Wonder. Mystery. Horror even. It’s one sided, or it’s a lot closer to an aura, or air, given off. Often the capital-w Wizard won’t see themselves as such. Often the pointy hat is placed on their head by others, not themselves. A time traveller, or an alien, is a veritable wizard.

More or less the mastery of illusion. You trick someone into believing you can move small metal objects with your mind only to find out it's following a magnet under a table.

You can't ever actually prove anything conclusively. At best, you can conclude that something is very likely, but you can never accurately say that any particular outcome is certain.

I can prove it and I paid these 'peers' to 'review' my work so that it is legitimate.

they only talk shit about it because they lack intuition due to their low level of consciousness and/or intellect. No scientific breakthroughs came from studying data, studying data came AFTER the discoverers intuition told them where to look and what to look for. They know they do not possess and people that do make them seethe uncontrollably because they can never do what what comes to us effortlessly by superior observation and deduction skills. They have spend years experimenting and collating data to verify what we instantly intuited to be the case.

It's just a concept.
So burning the books and killing people who practice it would work.
