Terrible, MMO style quests and busywork
Weird sorta open world filled with said MMO style quests
Generally bad companions
Plot that turns you into the chosen one god
Adding in more SJW nonsense (FtM transgendered member of the Bull's band)
Combat that is leaning more towards action and away from the tactical style of origins.
Real time gated inquisition roundtable shit.
It is undeniably better than 2. Graphically it looks nice. It had some good music, some good voice acting, etc. The writing isn't utterly horrendous and you can actually be a dick in the game (so points over Veilguard), but it just isn't very good. It never was. I don't know how anyone who is a fan of Origins could be a huge fan of this game. The only way you could justify liking it is if you played 2 and then this right after because 2 is just that fucking bad.
It is, unfortunately, the second best Dragon Age game. It somehow has better facial animations than Veilguard, and Veilguard came out like a decade later.
