Nice Nature was the oldest living JRA graded race winner until he passed away in May 2023. His long life and popularity helped retired horses. While he's not the oldest horse in-game, he's probably the one that did the most while being an old fogey. So it's sensible enough that they act like a grandma.

>His nickname is “Mr. Number 3” and “Bronze Collector”, for usually finishing in third in races (especially Arima Kinen).
>That’s why she has a special speech if she ever finishes in third in the game. And also why her nickname requires you to finish third in three GI races and to earn 320,000 fans
>Nice Nature is one of the three horses that made to the JRA fan voting “Top 100 20th century dream horse” lists that had never won a GI title (he ranked in 71st).
>Among all of the horses that had never won a GI title in Japan, Nice Nature won the most prize money. (Till Deep Bond showed up at least).
>Has a leg belt on her left leg, because her IRL counterpart has an injury on his left leg too.
>Had a very strong relationship with his trainer and stablekeeper, Baba Hideki.
>Many fans think that the trainer of Team Canopus, Minamisaka, is based on Baba Hideki.
>When Nice Nature was being selfish due to temperament issues, Baba did not get angry with him and was patient. Eventually, this soothed Nice Nature and he would walk behind Baba without any reins.
>Eventually, it got to the point that Nice Nature could walk behind him without a tug.
