If they're defenders of good then make all of them closer to Great Saiyaman in personality. Give them something unique. Have them already discovered the Super Saiyan transformation a long time ago and evolve it in a specific way due to their unique biology. Have an interesting society instead of whatever the fuck they got going on. Make them super obsessed with freedom.
Just spit balling. I hope you catch my drift that too little was done and they aren't nearly as interesting as they could be. Right now they are the same as the currently alive Saiyans.
