>noon sun is fucking cooking them
>therefore have to have shutters down almost completely all summer, turning the apartment into a dark basement. if shutters not down, the room would heat up 10 degrees in less than one hour
>insulation is 80s level so even with darkening everything out, every day with temps >30°C means around 1 degree gained every day until the apartment eventually matches outdoor temperatures
>have to keep windows closed all day or otherwise the hot ass air would heat up the room in minutes

And now the kicker

>can't keep windows open at night for the apartment to cool off a little because [REDACTED] could easily just step in
>can't keep windows open at night for the apartment to cool off a little because mice could easily chew through the fly net in the windows and get in (which had happened already and it was a bitch to locate and get the fucker out)

>basically only have a brief moment before midnight to open all windows while still awake
