What I don't understand is why anyone wants those jobs? I have worked them. You know in a perfect world, where everyone was nice and respected, it wouldn't be bad. It could be fun to be the guy behind the counter at a old school burger / diner or something. But the need for convenience and drive-thru's etc, makes it a very unpleasant experience, not to mention the different tiers of patrons that you encounter.

I am also an automation engineer, and I would rather spend my time operating / maintaining robots that do the work, and I get paid more, and there are few people, which is only better for the environment, etc

Immigration erodes a capitalistic society by making the controllers of wealth into kings. Anyone with enough money can lobby the government, claim it helps the stock market (which it does, by increasing profits for publicly traded companies) but only the wealthy really profit for that. So what capitalism has become is selling out the lower class for a lower class of people so the rich get richer and the lower class become literal troglodytes, either eating the upper-class or dying underground

Anyone who tells you capitalism is free-market or anti-immigration is anti-free-market is at best a disillusioned parrot. Wealth controls the world and the government, there's no such thing as a free-market now, capitalism "optimized" freedom out.

In the current environment, say you own a restaurant and all the equipment needed, it's more economical to get a humanoid, or an arm, to stand in place of a human, and if the robot goes down for maintenance a human can step in an work at the station. If it was purely a robotic pipeline it would be much more expensive to start, and less resilient

Yes. There are too many people in the world and one less retard that can't get food without stealing will only make the world a worse place.
